Easter is fast approaching, but sometimes it can be hard to know what to do with those extra bank holidays. Or, if you have children, it can be a struggle to find activities to keep them entertained over the school holidays.

However, you're in the right place, as we've scoured the town for the very best Easter events this year. The fun kicks off a little early on 23rd and 24th March with the return of the famous Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival. Kids and adults alike will be spoilt for choice when it comes to sweet treats and activities, as there will be stalls, live music, interactive workshops, a giant Easter egg display and an appearance from the festival mascot, who is rather aptly named "Charlie Chick"!

Kids will love the Easter Egg Hunts taking place at a number of the town's parks over the holidays. They can follow a fun trail, solve the clues and find the eggs to win a tasty chocolate prize at the end. Easter Egg Hunts are being held at Openshaw Park, Clarence Park, Whitehead Park, Burrs Country Park, Town Meadow Park, Close Park and St. Mary's Park on various dates - for full details see our events page!

There's something for the whole family to enjoy at Village Hotel Bury this Easter, as they will be serving a special, all-you-can-eat carvery lunch at the amazing price of just £12.95 for adults and £5.95 for children. Even better, the kids will receive an Easter egg and there will be activities including an Easter Egg Hunt and face painting throughout the day.

Adults looking to make the most of the long weekend should head over to The Fisherman's Retreat, who are holding a Beer Festival from Friday 29th - Monday 31st March. You'll be able to try out some fantastic beers, as well as the Fisherman's usual selection of over 500 types of whisky!

Whatever you decide to do this Easter, have a good one!
