Dementia Awareness Week is taking place from 18th - 24th May 2014. Bury will be hosting a large variety of events in a number of locations to offer support to those suffering with the disease, as well as raising awareness.

Dementia doesn't just affect those who are diagnosed. There will also be support sessions and events to help families and carers of those who are suffering with the disease.

With choir sessions, afternoon tea and coffee mornings being just some of the events available, those affected by the disease have the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, build friendships and receive advice.

Those caring for a dementia sufferer can receive one to one advice at Summerseat Garden Centre on Tuesday, and there will be an awareness session at Delicious sandwich bar at the Fusilier Museum. View the PDF below to view the extensive list of events.

Whether it's support you need or just a way to socialise and sing, Dementia Awareness Week in Bury has everything you need to meet other people and increase the awareness of this disease.

Thank you to a number of local charities and businesses who will be offering their support during Dementia Awareness Week.

Please view the PDF below for all of the events taking place in Bury as part of Dementia Week.
