Two Stools - Two Scousers

Bury Football Club is holding another Traditional Sporting Dinner at the Village Hotel, Bury on Thursday 9th September. This time though our very special guest speaker comes from the world of 'show business' and we are delighted to welcome Ricky Tomlinson.

Ricky is the star of one of the country's most loved comedy shows 'The Royle Family' and, of course, in his role as Mike Bassett he is a former England manager!!

Throughout his life and career he has held strong opinions and you will be able to listen to his fascinating stories. Joining Ricky will be another 'scouser' who has been voted Merseyside's top adult comedian for three years running, Gary Skyner. Gary is another fascinating character who overcame his disability which came about through him being the second child in the UK to be born damaged by the deadly thalidomide drug, Gary is a paralegal, a pilot, a qualified FA class 1 coach, a welder and, most importantly, the country's funniest adult stand up comedian.

Gary is living proof that there is nothing you cannot achieve if you only believe you can.

This is guaranteed to be a night to remember and we would love you to be there. The evening will start with a superb dinner and all money raised at this event will go directly to supporting youth football here at Bury.

Tables for ten persons cost JUST £400 + vat. Or £40pp +vat.
