Botulinum toxin is a chemical produced by the botulinum bacterium. Botulinum Toxin Type A is a protein derivative of the toxin, which, when injected into the muscle, causes it to become weakened or inactivated. It stops the muscle from functioning by blocking neuromuscular transmission – i.e. it stops the chemical messages from the nerve to the muscle.

Skin gets creased from thousands of facial movement’s every day. To prevent more creases being made we have to reduce the amount of movement the facial movements make. This allows the skin to stop being stretched and allow to recover. This allows the creases to get better or in some cases fade away. Botulinum toxin temporarily inactivates the facial muscles allowing the skin to recover.

‘Brotox’, as it is now referred for men, is now becoming popular amongst men including stars such as David Beckham, Gordon Ramsey, Simon Cowell, Michael Douglas, Peter Andre and many more to name a few.

Men do require a larger dose due to their facial muscles being stronger then women’s but the results are also amazing and will make you look approximately 10 years younger.
