As part of National Apprenticeship Week Bury Council is hosting the ‘Backing Young Bury – Career and Skills Event’, which will be held on Wednesday 5th March 2014 at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury.

The aim of the event is to encourage and motivate young people to think about their career choices and the world of work.   This is an opportunity for you to showcase your industry and inspire a new generation through exciting interactive activities.  This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to education and skills and show our young people what you do.

There will be over 800 people attending the event between the ages of 14 – 24.  If you can donate your time and energy and provide an interesting and stimulating experience that gives an insight into your work area we would like to hear from you.

The project is funded by ‘World Skills UK’. For further information relating to previous ‘Have a Go’ events across the country and to better understand how your participation will benefit your organisation and our future generations, visit www.theskillsshow.com/get-involved/sponsor

All event partners will also receive publicity, building up to and after the event, via the ‘Backing Young Bury – Career and Skills Event’ advertising.

If you would like to declare an interest in participating or would like further information, you can contact backingyoungbury@bury.gov.uk or 0161 253 6140
