As is usually the case our latest networking event, “An evening with thebestofbury” was a great success last night. There was a real buzz in the room with people from all walks of life attending and in many cases doing some great business!
There were 3 sponsors for the event – Nick McCloud of descartes who gave an excellent presentation on business growth and how you could be helping yourself move your business to the next level. Our associate sponsors UKCostumes4U who brought along a fantastic range of costumes and accessories for purchase, and Business Lodge, providers of serviced offices were all on hand at their exhibition stands.
With over 120 businesses in the room along with 36 exhibition stands you couldn’t help but feel a real sense of “business community” spirit – most people were keen to find out more about each other and see how they could work together. Our speed networking session was a great opportunity to do this on a more intimate basis (although there were a few escapees!)
Many of our businesses were very generous in donating some wonderful prizes for the raffle to raise money for our charity of the year MedEquip4kids. The raffle raised £105 last night which is a great start!
Our exhibition stands included a varied range of businesses such as printers, beauty, restaurant (serving fabulous canapés), free massages, photography and interior design to name a few!
All in all a great evening was had by all – the excitement heightened when all were evacuated early evening and the fire brigade turned up! Still this was a great opportunity for even more networking and some great introductions were made.
