Good modern hotel with friendly staff. Enjoyed use of the swimming pool. Breakfast in Starbucks (porridge and fruit toast) very good. You can take a walk from the hotel along a local nature trail beside a river.

Have stayed at this hotel manny times and have paid for upgrade but this time was given a upgrade set off to find my room and I was a very long walk to the room and iff you wanted food or a drink it was a long walk back the room was nice but the price midweek was £140 which I thought was very expensive Hotels .com as the cheapest beating the hotels own website

Self check in was fab, straight up to our Club room. Room was well presented very clean and tidy. tea and coffee facilities, water provided. Bed was very comfortable. We went down for dinner and made it for tiki tiki bar which was a wonderful, dinner was lovely, plentiful and very tasty. Breakfast was self service and really good. All staff we met were very helpful and considerate especially with myself with allergies. All in all a great stay.

Stayed for 2 nights. Found check in a bit impersonal having to use iPad to check in - however got checked in and went up to our room pretty quickly. Room was nice and clean and was quiet for our stay. Found the fan not powerful enough and would of preferred air con or a better fan. Had evening meal in the restaurant the following day and the food was lovely and pretty reasonable - would stay here again if the price was right.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially breakfast staff. Great that Gluten Free bread was available at breakfast. Bar drinks were expensive though.

I generally love staying at village hotels I love the deco it’s so funky and modern .. on this stay I was not happy with the receptionist she told us our room was on floor one but it wasn’t u had to go in one lift and then into another lift and then onto another lever which was confusing .. and the girl on the pool reception was a little sarcastic with us that made me feel a little uncomfortable .. overall hotel was as all village hotels are - good wish thy was a little cheaper then wud stay more often :)

Would of been a nice little break away from the babies for a night except we got less sleep than we would of at home. The guests next door were ridiculously loud, I think it was some kind of prom night. The room had a door linking to the next room so we may as well have shared a room of gossiping girls. We asked for an extra pillow and never got one, the ones we had were awful. And the room was unbearably hot. Due to the above I think we slept about three hours. However breakfast the next morning was lovely and the evening meal that came with our deal was great too. Staff in the bar and dining area all lovely too. Such a shame as it would of been quite a nice stay otherwise! X

Travelling for work I stay in all sorts of hotels but this ticked all the boxes. Chain hotels can be bland but this was far from. My favourite feature was the takeaway style room service.

we stayed at the village hotel in bury 23/24 june
firstly tracie on rececption was great, her attitude and help was perfect
couldn't do enough to make our stay welcome
as was the bar staff, even the lady that cleans the rooms was helpful we couldn't get the door to our room open but she rushed to our aid.
the staff alone makes you want to stay.
then you enter the room well it was lovely and clean, spacious.
only down fall is the windows don't open wide enough, as it can get clammy.
and we had a room with a shower, in can get slippy on the floor, and there is no grab rails at all.
the bar was good ,they have a carvery but in all fairness there is a beefeater type pub across the road on the estate which is cheaper apart from that I will definitely go again. bed was comfy.. it is well worth the stay..
so full credit to the staff....
check online for special deals you can save a fortune..

Staff mostly friendly and helpful, hotel facities OK. Very noisy outside in the evening. Rooms OK, spacious but lacking a few essentials. Posh coffee maker, but no kettle! No full-length mirror. Blinds on window don't block out light.

Stayed in Club room (272j spacious but dimly lit. Comfortable bed, large shower. The swimming pool and gym area is spotless and pleasant. Breakfast OK Nothing special. The grill bar restaurant was very disappointed. Good location, great WiFi and free parking. Convenient just off the motorway. Shame they don’t have in-room safety deposit box.

Staff very friendly and helpful. First visit to a Village Hotel, booked by the company for easy access to Machester City Centre. Pool, sauna and steam room lovely after a 14 hour day. Food excellent can recommend the fish and chips.

Stayed for one night. Room was functional and comfortable. Shower was lovely. All you need including a coffee machine which was a bonus. Impersonal which is fine if you're there for business or short stay. Ordered food via the app as directed. The superfood salad was nothing like what was on the menu. It was dreadful. Few bits of broccoli a large piece of chicken which I didn't order, small pieces of salmon also not ordered and some feta not halloumi. Avocado was absent completely. I was there for business the next day so had lunch again tough meat skewers which were not nice. The only good thing was the cheesecake! So good accommodation and perhaps the food in the restaurant is better.

The bathroom could do with a face lift, shower was not powerful at all and it would benefit from conditioner to be provided not just shampoo and body wash. The TV channels were also lacking with only 5 to choose from. However ironing and hair dryer are a good feature.

We had our wedding ceremony and evening reception here in April. The wedding planned, Tina could not have done any more for us. We felt everything was well planned and we knew we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the day. As the bride I stayed over the night before and the rooms were of a good size and the beds comfortable. The only thing that we felt was needed were napkins for the evening buffet. We expected there to be some but there were none! We did also have to ask for the lights to be turned up and the music turned down whilst eating but otherwise everything was perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we really did not have to worry about anything as Tina made sure staff knew what we needed to ensure we had a great night. Would defiantly recommend as great wedding venue.

Stayed for wedding with family. Lovely hotel with fabulous pool facilities, which was a winner with the kids. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Not much within walking distance of the hotel so getting around Bury requires car or taxi.

Stayed here for a family wedding that was in the hotel. Really nice hotel, friendly front desk and bar employees, good food, gorgeous pool, gym on premises and Starbucks. Convenient to Bury center and transportation. Easy to get a cab. Would definitely stay again if we every travel to Manchester again. No complaints.
