ok. clean, good size room . I didn’t have time for breakfast so they offered to make a take out but I didn’t have time to wait. not good lighting - all lamps and not good for working at night. doors slammed (no soft closure) and could hear the bar music till 11:30pm even though I was on the second floor near the back of the hotel.

Cabrini in the bar was absolutely amazing. Brilliant service, really took care of us personally and made sure we enjoyed every minute we were there. Individual service like that is hard to find and she's an absolute credit to Village Bury

I used the Village Hotel for the delivery of a 3 day training course in late April. The room was at the front end of the hotel and was smaller than those I had used last year, though I guess during the latter phases of the pandemic the demand was lower and I had more choice. Throughout the 3 days my main contacts (Alison Rider and Claire Smith) were extremely helpful, whether it was resolving IT difficulties or helping with issues around the lunch menu. The latter was also not up to the standard of last year, with little or minimal choice, but Alison & Claire did offer alternatives on an ad-hoc basis. (mainly for me, as I am a fussy eater!).
Overall I felt I was in capable hands and the staff cared about my experience at the hotel. With a wider food menu and a larger room, I would have given it 5 stars.

We didn't stay here as we live locally. We decided to try it for Sunday lunch, bad decision. Firstly it resembles a snack bar not somewhere to eat Sunday lunch, secondly only one choice of meat beef which we dislike. Thirdly the alternative menu choice was poor, to say the least. The food quality was not good when compared with other local pubs offering Sunday lunch. My advice would be to find an another place to eat even if you're staying there.

Was staying at the hotel on Friday night 29/4/22 and had an issue with no commentary on the football match on TV. Duty Manager explained the Village policy on Friday/Saturday is different insofar as the match can be shown but music is played not the commentary, my point of view was that they promote themselves as a sports bar and even offer drinks promotions during any live game and had bought food which was over £50 based on that understanding. This guy listened to my point of view and turned a 1 review to a 5 because he was empathetic and understood my point of view as well as the policy set down by people in head office who don't understand the concept of a sports bar but want to trade under that title! Absolute respect for this Manager and thank you for your understanding, the Village needs more Managers like this who can listen and act and encourage everyone to try and resolve issues at the time rather than say nothing and review poorly later!

Recently returned to Village Bury for continued client coaching. My last visit was disrupted early hours by a hotel alarm but Danny CASSELL the GM responded brilliantly, organised a discounted room rate for me on my return. This time no disruptions, tremendous team support from the staff with a positive welcome and professional support from Alison looking after us in the conference rooms. Very satisfied stay

No complaints, everything was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, very clean and the walk in shower was lovely. The bed was great and very comfortable. The towels were lovely and soft. The breakfast was lovely a great selection of food. There appeared to be touches of black mould around the window panes.

We have enjoyed another Sunday evening away at The Village Bury. Jade, Laura, Jay and Sarah once again looked after us really well which is why we’ve been back several times just to have a break from home. Breakfast was lovely and staff so helpful and welcoming. Danny has a good team of staff and “we will be back” 🥂😊👍
Paul and julie 😊😊😊

I’ve been a member of Village Gym in Bury for a number of years. After trying several others in the area, this is absolutely the best. They did such an amazing job during the pandemic and continue to provide an excellent service.

The class’ and instructors are second to none. They keep me coming back regularly and are the main reason I won’t even consider going elsewhere. They’re enthusiastic, knowledgable and really positive friendly folk; they makes the classes super fun and really worthwhile. There is an extensive and broad range of classes on offer, generally something for everyone. Once you’ve been going for a little while, you realise the real sense of community in the place, with the trainers and the other members…it’s worth every penny of membership.

The rest of the gym staff are super too; always a smile on the entrance desk and everyone genuinely looks happy to be there.

The gym is well looked after and has a pretty diverse range of equipment and in volume (never have issues getting on what I need). Decent sized pool, sauna and stream room a big plus.

All-in-all, Village do a fantastic job.
