As I live in the Manchester area I have often passed this hotel on my way to Bury. I have noticed that it always seems to be very popular, (judging by the number of cars in the large car park). Having now been on a weekend break to 'The Village' I realise why it is so popular.
The room was delightful, clean, smart, spacious and very well equipped. The hotel could not offer more; there is something for everyone here, the pub, restaurant, coffee shop. All of these have special offers and the quality is exceptional. The Health and fitness suite is superb, offering a large swimming pool, very large well equipped gym, steam room, sauna, sun showers, Jacuzzi, hot tub and lovely large changing rooms all the necessary facilities.
I must say the most outstanding feature of this hotel was. Without a shadow of a doubt, the staff! My husband and I were so impressed with the attitude of each and every member of staff that we came into contact with. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly and professional receptionist and given all the information we needed. The restaurant staff were excellent and the restaurant Manager was delightful, professional and a fabulous sense of humour without being intrusive. It would be impossible to find a grumpy or unpleasant member of staff in this hotel all credit to the hotel Manager whom I believe has a strong belief in delivering excellent customer service. I have to say it really shows. A long time since we have been anywhere that made us feels so welcome and comfortable.

Fantastic venue to host a business exhibition. The staff were very accommodating, in fact nothing was too much trouble at all. The room was set out perfectly upon arrival, we were treated to drinks whilst preparing the room and the PA system was ready and set up for us. The feedback from attendees to the event has been very positive with many saying this was our best venue to date. Good lighting, clean bright room with the added bonus of the balconies for extra space and fresh air. Overall excellent experience!

We held our Business Expo at Village Hotel Bury last Thursday and I could not fault the venue at all. We (and our guests) were blown away by the professionalism and friendly approach of all the staff, who went out of their way to help our event run smoothly. The venue itself was perfect for our needs and we have received fantastic feedback.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Samantha, Kirsteen and the team at the Village Hotel, Bury for hosting our latest business exhibition and networking event last week. Nothing was too much trouble, nothing left to chance and everything was as meticulously planned from your end as it was ours. The feedback we have received has been absolutely fantastic with the venue being a major plus point for most people. It made such a difference to us to have everything readily available and in place on arrival - so much so we actually had a few minutes breather between setting up and starting the event which was a refreshing change. Thank you once again and we look forward to continuing our working realtionship with you!

The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, the room was gorgeous, very chic and comfy. everything we needed was already there, my partner and i went to have a meal in the "verve grill" but as it was a busy weekend we would have been waiting 1hr 45mins for a table, starving we opted for the pub/bar, it was very nice a little pricey but nothing out of the ordinary, we then used the hotel facilities, gym, pool and sauna which was great! the bed was extremely comfortable with a selection of hard and soft pillows, which was also great!! we only stayed the one night but it was brilliant, it made our little get away that much more special. will be booking again :)

The hotel is next to the moterway junction to Bury. Just about a mile to town centre. You got all the facilities you need in a hotel. Free parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Starbuck Cafe inside the hotel.
Swimming pool is large and lovely, but it might be a bit too noisy sometimes when filled with kids.

I have recently returned from a stay at The Village. I was there for a wedding and the reception was held at the hotel, my room was therefore booked some time ago and a good rate was secured.
Generally I enjoyed my visit, the room was comfortable and well equipped, food in the bar on the Friday night was of an acceptable standard (as part of a Friday offer it was only £2.50 for a burger and chips so I can't really complain!). Breakfast was decent, although I can't say I was very keen on their sausages. I used the gym facilities which were very good and I am reliably informed that the swimming pool was good too.
There were a couple of down points, the card reader on my room's door packed up which led to some degree of concern but I must commend the staff on their (ultimately successful) efforts to get me back in. The place also seemed a little gloomy. These are fairly minor matters though.

We booked this hotel with a Groupon Voucher. From the moment we arrived we liked what we saw. The room was lovely and the leisure facilities great! Loved the bar and really enjoyed our stay overall. Well worth the money. We will be returning.

Mine and my boyfriends stay at the hotel was great. The room was clean and lovely, the bar wss really good and reasonably priced. The staff were amazing - really friendly, lovely and helpful. They made our stay great especially the lady on the desk as we came in and the first floor office ladies.

Great modern hotel, room decor very nice in superior room, hairdryer , tea and coffee included, no dressing gowns, pub downstairs nice and cosy and very cheap , beer £2 , burger and chips £2 at happy hour....had a group on in the evening, reception staff polite, lots of choices at breakfast inc black pudding and mushrooms etc, taxi only cost £5 to Bury town centre. Pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all good, gym amazing ! Only problem was builders taking scaffolding down right outside our window at 7am Sat morning so ruined our lie in.

We would normally stay in a smaller, quieter hotel, but this was a very enjoyable stay and we would stay there again when in that area.

The hotel was ok. Gym facilities and pool were really good and the restaurant was nice. The rooms however, they weren't great. We asked for a double room and got a room with two single beds pushed together that moved and separated through the night. The bedding had stains on and was ripped and the decor was dated.

Extremely relaxing. very nice people. Beauty treatments were lovely. Rooms are gorgeous and very comfy. Also loved the Starbucks and the food in the restaurant was divine!! Will definately be returning.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The bathroom gleamed. Our experience has made me want to try all Village Hotels - something of a mission now!! However would love to come back here as less than an hour. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice room although a little warm for me. Great atmosphere for Sunday evening as there was a wedding on. The hotel was very well maintained, the staff were very attentive, the carvery was very tasty and the spa treatments amazing!
