The new wing of this hotel is very impressive. The executive rooms are spacious and modern with great decor and wonderful en suite. The shower is the best I've had, the bed amazingly comfortable and a very efficient hairdryer! The only downside is that the huge mirror is no where near a light source, it's too big and heavy to move and the lamps have different plugs so can't bring those across either! So hair styled with no light and makeup applied using small compact mirror over the other side of the room! Sort it please!
The breakfast is amazingly good with a good choice and service is efficient. We loved the "pub" with good food and service but found Starbucks a let down. It was grubby and let the rest of the hotel down!
The long walk to the room going up and down floors became quirky rather than an inconvenience and we are planning a return stay in June!

Upon arrival the building looked really nice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and extremely comfy. Inside the hotel was clean and well maintained.
Would definitely stay again :-)

We stayed for 2 nights in the Village Hotel Bury and chose the Upper Village upgrade. The room was difficult to find initially as it was on the first floor but involved a lift to the first floor then changing floors to the first floor! We weren't alone and found our room courtesy of a decorator! That aside, everything else was really good, the room, food and leisure facilities were just what we wanted for a weekend break and rest.

Love this hotel and their party/tribute nights not had a bad experience here everything as always been to my liking.
Great friendly helpful staff, my only complaint is the amount of stairs up to the entrance.

I chose to stay there using a £20 a night offer for my husbands birthday.
The room was spacious and on arrival looked clean however after moving the sofa we found dust, staples and some other plastic bits on the floor. The bed was extremely uncomfortable so neither of us slept a wink.
We headed down to breakfast the next morning. It was buffet style. Food was first class couldn't fault it at all. Probably best I've had in a hotel!
Due to the uncomfortable bed we will not be staying there again which is a shame because the venue itself is lovely.

We were staying in bury due to Manchester hotels being fully booked. Hotel was decent and good value for money. Our bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned and we needed three attempts to get a key that opened our door! But bar area was nice and restaurant service was good and food very tasty. So overall was fine.

I've stayed at the Village hotel many times and thought it was about time I put a review in!
Great building, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, with great bathroom facilities.
Room service was just the ticket on a late arrival. Quick and very tasty!
I will return when I'm back in that area.....simply the best hotel unless you;re heading into central Manchester.

Outside of hotel could do with upgrading. Upper deck bedrooms were wonderful and bathroom amazing. Would not like to sleep on ground floor as too noisy. Bar area not clean just a very noisy hotel due to the functions. Breakfast poor with cheap items and for price was expecting more. Location good and only stayed there due to proximity of friends who live in Bury

Enjoyed a one night stay at this very good hotel.
Reception staff were professional and dressed to impress with smart grey suits. This is much better then the casual look of some other village hotels I have stayed in. Name badges might also help and allow you to give staff the full credit they deserve.
Refurbished room and bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.
Pub staff and food all good. Very enjoyable breakfast too.
Enjoyable stay.

We booked to help celebrate a friends 30th birthday, the DJ did not play any requests (obviously thought he was more important than the guests) the food was good, the hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful

Good hotel with great facilities spoilt by a few noisy guests who refuse to acknowledge others are trying to sleep which is annoying but there's a few things the hotel could do to promote Quiet Zones in the hotel znd to show respect for other guests etc

Breakfast and evening meal was good

Overall satisfied

Just back from room 152, a twin and having never stayed in this hotel again it will take awhile for me to return again.
I didn't eat or use any of the facilities in the hotel and cannot comment on these but the room was dirty. When walking around you noticed all white bits on the floor and there was very many of these hence the comment about being dirty.
The toilet seat in the bathroom didn't have the spacers on to stop the seat being smack on the bowl!- Noticed this when having a bath, plus there was a yellow colour where the screws once were- photo taken if needed! The sink had 2 hairline cracks in it.
The twin beds were comfortable enough but it did put you off having seen the floor. The wall next to the bed had more than enough marks upon it too.

A smart Samsung large screen tv was a great provision in the room.

Lastly the windows didn't fully shut flush and there was some noise entering the room from the nearby motorway- unlike triple glazed premier inns.
Overall a disappointing stay and unlikely to be repeated I'm afraid unless the hotel is thoroughly upgraded- so another 2 years??

Restaurant staff and food was excellent along with the explanation about the wines on offer, Improvements needed in the main Hotel it was looking dated, Upgraded rooms were very nice but needed a hoover underneath the bed.

I found the room to be a little "tired", the bathroom sink was cracked, the waste bin and toilet had used tissues in them and the room smelt of stale tobacco. However, this did not stop me having a good sleep. The hotel itself has great facilities and is in a perfect location for me, it's just in need of some tlc.

Unfortunately the coffee facilities in-room were empty. Bins in both rooms wernt emptied and carpet wasnt vacuumed. Window frame had gaps so draught was gently blowing the blind open. Radiator didnt work. Restaurant & service were superb though!

I stayed here on 20th February in an Upper Deck room. When I arrived in the room it was really big, and the bed looked so comfy with its fluffy pillows, and duvet. The bathroom was a good size and quite modern too. We didn't make use of the leisure facilities, which we should have done, and we didn't have breakfast here either. The room has built in SKY which was definitely a first for me in a hotel room.

The bad things I have to say about the room/ hotel was that around the plug in the bath there was black gunk underneath, which had obviously been missed on more than a reasonable amount of occasions. The rest of the bathroom, I have no faults with whatsoever.
In the room, we had a Dyson fan. We wondered why this was needed in February, however at around 1am this became apparent, as the room turned into a furnace! Having to get up to turn it on and kick the covers off as well was not ideal. There were a few scuffs on the couch that could've been rubbed off and obvious alcohol spillage marks on the walls in the room, that prevent it from feeling as fresh as it could.
It is also apparent that other drunken guests feel that singing and talking very loudly on the corridors between 12am and 3am is acceptable. This, as well as a bunch of men outside in the carpark at 1am shouting and being rowdy, is not what I would consider something to contribute to a good nights sleep. I suppose being on the main corridor where every aisle joins wouldn't help. Also, the housekeepers office/ store room was across from our room which was continuously banged through the morning from around 6am.

The hotel itself offers so much, and just these few things stop me from giving a rating of 4 which is a real shame. I would stay here again, however I would prefer to avoid room 101, and not come on a Saturday night as it seems that from other reviews, there are a lot of people that come to get hammered and then have no consideration for other guests.

It has anything you need for a spa hotel but I think you need to stop the building works till after check out time because I got woken up by a lot of banging! Other than that i had a fantastic stay. 👌🏽

Good location and clean hotel. As expected at a village hotel.
Upgraded to upper deck and worth every penny, Starbucks coffee in the room is always a nice touch.
2 places to eat and a Starbucks coffee shop mean you can stay on site and relax

Excellent stay. Really friendly staff.
Rooms currently under refurbishment and we were lucky to get a newly decorated and updated one.
Massive TV with Sky package. Starbucks coffee sachets and Tea.
Beautiful 'rainfall' type shower which was hot and powerful with plentiful supply of soap and shampoos. (If you like lemon!!)
Breakfast really nice although a bit on the slow side replacing items that had run out.

Welcoming hotel with lovely staff and currently being refurbished to a high standard.
Stayed in a refurbished 'Upper deck' room which was beautiful and much better looking than the previous photos on here.
Room was warm with thick carpets and a lovely soft bed.
Brand new shower suite with 'rainforest' style shower big enough for 2 ;-)
Previous reviews suggested rooms weren't very well sound proofed but we didn't have a problem. However some corridor noise is heard if a particularly noisy family walk by.
Didn't have any problems but staff friendly throughout and very attentive.
Hotel corridors are a bit of a maze but hopefully the refurb will address this.
Little grumble that breakfast isn't included in the price but available on a 2 for £15 offer if booked on arrival.
Great location and only a £4 taxi ride into Bustling Bury town centre with its markets, heritage railway and great nightlife.
