adequate as a clean room, check in is setup to be self serve on ipads, but has never worked for me, always a tech fault of some sort, breakfast is ok but typical hotel prices. I use this hotel regularly as its close to my clients in Manchester, so location is good - out of town with plenty of parking. Lots of steps up to front though so might put some people off.Bar is open all night fro residents - might also put some people off.

Attended the BusinessLodge summer BBQ at the Village last Friday night, what a superb night. We had the ultimate BBQ and as the weather was lovely we had the pleasure of the outside terrace. Great night, lovely room decor and fantastic friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Great stay at the village! Service, food and surroundings were excellent. Upgraded to a club room, which made our stay even better! Had a great nights sleep! Staff very friendly, and leisure facilities were great. Everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.

Great venue to stay. Clean, comfortable, modern and plenty of facilities! Easy to get to from motorway. Was ideal to stay for course I was on locally. Only downside has been trying to follow up since I left after being over charged at the spa. Called 3 times and e-mailed and no further forward.

Lovely clean hotel. Excellent carvery across the road. The staff were fantastic with Emma and Ashleigh going the extra mile for us. Emma's calm approach to the fire alarm and subsequent evacuation was reassuring for all. She handled all queries and worries with a firm but calm approach. Highly professional. It turned out to be a false alarm thank goodness. Whether you are going on business or a break this hotel is nicely situated, friendly and reasonable.

A good venue for business meetings. Grab a coffee from the Starbucks inside and then take a seat throughout the spacious lobby.

Plenty of power points for those using a laptop. A nice environment to sit in and get some admin done.

After a recent stay at the Village hotel from start to finish it was excellent! Ashley on reception couldn't of done more for me from my over the phone booking to greeting me at reception on arrival. Extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The room we stayed in was immaculate and very comfy! After check in we went into the Pub where the staff behind the more again couldnt of done more-special mention to Sophie and James for great service-with a smile, it never fails! After a quick drink we dined in Verve where we were looked after by Tina and Kennedy-both extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly and looked after us from start to finish! The service was spot on and the food was gorgeous! Thank you to you all for making us feel so welcome, your all a huge credit to the team! We will defiantly be back again very soon. Thank you!

Perfectly positioned for all local amenities, very friendly, accommodating staff. Clean, tidy and well presented hotel. Nowhere better in BURY. Reception staff are particularly friendly and are always ready to help out with anything that can improve your stay. Upgrade to a club-room if possible. Also if it's of any interest , the heating in the rooms is just so adaptable. Didn't use restaurant on this stay, but bar and pub and breakfast were faultless. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting BURY which I do on a monthly basis to visit relatives.

Very nice hotel with all required facilities on site, whether that be starbucks or swimming pool/sauna.

Sky in the room is an added benefit and also including hair dryer and Dyson aircon/fan for the hot evenings during summer.

Visited this hotel on Friday 23rd June. On arrival the front of desk girls were very welcoming and told us everything we needed to know. The room was lovely and spacious only couple of niggles were bad lighting in room when I was doing my makeup and the bathroom could of been cleaner. The bathroom door had toothpaste splashed on it and shower tray had hairs ect. We then used the pool, sauna ,steam room and jacuzzi which we thought was great. Lovely lady on the spa desk who gave out towels had only been working there 5 weeks. She was a credit to the hotel and made us feel very welcome and gave us clear information as it was our 1st visit. We then had a beautiful meal in the restaurant which was included in the Friday night deal. The morning after we had a beautiful unlimited breakfast for £15 for two. Which is amazing value. It's the best buffet breakfast I have ever had. Food was plentiful and top quality. Usually I tend to find buffet breakfast dry because of being sat under the heat lamps, But not in this case.
Now the only thing I didn't like was the police was in the reception area when we went to breakfast which didn't bother me. But after breakfast we went to sit outside and there was quite a bit of blood on the flags next to main entrance where the table and chairs are. I immediately reported it to the girl in reception who said 'oh is it still there? I will get it cleaned up' we went back to the room to pack and and hour later we checked out and the blood was still there. I must say I would of given this hotel 10/10 until this incident. But now I would say 7/10 because know one wants to sit next to blood soaked flagged at anytime especially after enjoying a lovely breakfast.
I cannot emphasise how lovely all the staff are at this hotel. Which put us at ease from the moment we stepped inside. But there had obviously been some sort of disturbance hence the police being there and the blood splattered all over the flags. The cleaning up of this should of took priority because of hygiene reasons and the fact that it was to the right of the main entrance so every person entering and leaving would of seen it. Such a shame that a fantastic night away was tainted by careless mistakes.

From the moment you step into the place you can tell it is a hotel of some style and class. Modern self check in system and stylish and modern rooms. The rooms had a large foldable leather couch and a huge comfortable bed, the shower had two options, normal shower or from above. Two restaurants to choose from one traditional and one a grill. Starbucks is located next to the mAin doors which is a welcome site in the morning. Huge flat screen tv, tea and coffee facilities and free wifi!

Needs better lighting in the room was staying at the hotel for a wedding and found it very difficult to do hair and makeup . So probably wouldn't stay again if doing a similar thing. But over all very nice hotel and staff .

Let down by electronic key card not working two nights running because of default computer program and having my personal credit card charged for 7 nights room and breakfast when company was picking up the tab.

Unusual location, on an industrial estate by the motorway but seems popular none the less, assume for apparently excellent gym on the premises.

Stayed for a couple of nights for business nearby - enjoyed the burgers and choices of beer, not so much the giant screens showing football in the hotel bar but know am in the minority on this front.

Rooms were comfortable but very stripy. Coffee machine didn't work but a kettle replacement was soon brought to my room.

Pleasant staff, welcoming and helpful. Wouldn't choose to stay here normally but fine for a business trip, will have to remember swimming trunks next time.

We stay at Bury Village for work on nearly a weekly basis. We're nightshift workers and the staff can never do enough for us. The accommodate our hours and probably work silly hours themselves to do so in terms to clean out rooms. Breakfast as a whole has been a let down at all Villages recently with a reduced menu but the staff are still excellent with their service. Excellent location mere yards from the M66 too. Really recommend should you need to stay in Lancashire or trips to Manchester

Our wedding reception was more than we could imagine. Everyone had a lovely time. The room was amazing we stayed in we loved our special gift - thank you! Our wedding planners went above and beyond to make sure we were happy throughout the evening. The only issue we had was after the bar had closed you were able to continue to purchase drinks but only if you had a credit card attached to your room which wasn't explained at the time of booking as only one of the party actually brought details for this kind of transaction. We understand why cash isn't dealt with after a certain time but not everyone travels with credit cards when everything has already been paid for. Just good to have a pre-warning first upon booking maybe?

Having business in nearby Radcliffe, this did seem the ideal place to stay, and ticked all the boxes. With unlimited parking, and welcoming staff, the first impression was good, and the bedroom very comfortable and well soundproofed, with a state of the art TV. The evening meal was good for a group hotel with a very varied menu, but obviously not fine dining, which one would not have expected. However, full English breakfast was most disappointing (and will hotels not learn that this is usually the last memory a guest has.) Sadly one expects to find the hot dishes laid out for a help oneself to no longer hot food. However, just to be left sliced bread beside a toaster, and find marmalade in plastic containers, not even mini jars, with butter to unwrap is very substandard, and means that the minimum of (nevertheless helpful) staff have to be provided. Premier Inns provide a much better breakfast. It is all very well having superb gymnastic facilities, but many travellers just want a well appointed, quiet room, which this hotel has, and a nice breakfast before setting off in the morning.
