When I took the plunge from the safety of an annual salary into the unknown/unsafe world of self employment I was apprehensive to say the least. Having had good success within The Best of Bury with my previous company, it was a no brainer to join as an individual. Now, 3 months into my time as a self employed Web Designer at Mahon Web & Design I am so proud to say I have surpassed my 12 months goals that had been set right at the outset of this journey, with the aid of The Best of Bury. Being an individual I am very understanding that my face is my brand and with the exposure provided by The Best of I have been able to quickly create important relationships amongst other businesses in Bury and put my face to my brand.

The Green Utilities really enjoyed their first ever Expo. It was great to have the support from The BOB Expo experts to get set up. We met lots of exciting businesses and are hopeful of some future partnerships with several of them over the coming months. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

Aspin FM are new to the best of bury and last night was the first exhibition we have attended and what a welcome we received from Debi, Phil, Laura and the team, they noticeably took time out to make sure everybody felt included and facilitated great conversation between everyone involved in the event. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of it and were delighted with the outcome of the event and conversations that we had. Overall we found it was a great event run by great people and we very much look forward to the next event and continuing working together. We would greatly recommend to anyone looking to grow their business that they get in touch with one of their fantastic team members.

I have been attending TBOB for the past 12 months. In this time, the team at TBOB and the employers have supported my confidence to engage with local business and supported local interest in the college’s initiatives. The notion that making others successful, then in turn making your business successful is a true representation of my journey within this brilliant organisation.
The aim of my involvement with TBOB was to grow a network of employers, growing their knowledge of Bury College’s products and then in turn understanding the skills gaps and industry needs to best support our students. I can honestly say that my original aim has been achieved with bells and whistles on. Thanks TBOB.

It was our first time showcasing our Training business at the North West Premier Business Fair. It was really worthwhile, the event was well organised and well attended. A great atmosphere with lots of friendly faces. It was brilliant to see so many different industries represented at the fair. I would recommend both exhibiting at or attending the next next one in March 2022 if you can !

absolutely brilliant, we exhibited this year in October not knowing how everything would go as it would be our first time, the atmosphere was amazing the people and staff of the venue were easy to talk to and made you feel welcome, its a fantastic way to see all different types of local businesses in your local area all under the same roof, it really does pay off not only for the company's exhibiting but also for the general public to find a real local company and getting to talk to them first hand in a normal setting. would recommend anyone and everyone 5****
