We stayed here just for one night to attend a wedding being held at the Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful. As we were travelling up from London I phoned ahead and asked about the possibility of early check-in. When we arrived our room was already ready. During our stay the receptionist, bar staff, morning breakfast staff and housekeeping were all superb. Real customer service experienced here!

Rooms were well kept, clean and a fair size. Breakfast was delicious.

I stayed at this hotel recently because I was working in the area. On arrival the reception area is very upmarket and the greeting I received was warm and welcoming. All the staff did their best to help.

The room was decorated to a high standard and is very modern. The bathroom was great and I enjoyed a relaxing dip in a bath that filled in an instant. The room had all mod cons and the only negative point is that it was a bit tight on space but otherwise great.

The hotel is sort of secluded so we chose to eat in the restaurant. Prices were very reasonable and the food was tasty. Many of us had the burger special which is huge.

A wide variety of things were available at breakfast. I had a full English as one must when stopping away and it was delicious. Nice bacon!

All in all it was a positive experience and everything was as expected if not better.

Would I return to stay again? Yes definitely.

Stayed here on Saturday, 4th October for a family 50th birthday celebration. Check in was quick and efficient. Our room on the first floor was lovely, well appointed and very clean and was quiet due to having a field view.

Throughout our stay all staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble considering they were busy with a wedding and another function upstairs. Twelve of us dined in Legends Restaurant (separate review) and was lovely.

Breakfast was good and the ten of us who stayed overnight were able to sit together. Lisa our waitress was happy and took our orders efficiently and overall breakfast was very goo.

Overall a good hotel with great staff and would stay again,

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel and the staff were as attentive as ever.
The breakfast were server quickly and efficiently and it was good. The evening meal menu was excellent with a good variety of choices all seemingly well presented and judging by all the empty plates around well cooked.
One small gripe, try and avoid rooms overlooking the smoking shelter, noisy revellers can keep you awake well in to the night.

Four of us went to the Red hall Restaurant for lunch, not staying at the hotel. Very nice looking restaurant, had the lunch menu, the food was presented nicely and was very tasty, however all but one of the staff, especially the head waiter seemed to have been sucking lemons all day, as we were unable to get a smile out of them, due to this, very unusually for us we did not leave a tip.
The meal was very reasonably priced.

As we were attending a family function on a Sunday we decided to go early and spend a couple of days here. This hotel was unknown to us, although we had previously lived in the Bury area. Parking was without problem, with plenty of space to the rear of the hotel. Indeed finding the hotel was easy, being just off the motorway network. Our welcome was genuinely warm and we soon settled in to our fairly spacious modern hotel room. We had invited a nephew and his wife to join us for supper. There was the aftermath of a wedding present and, at no time, did we feel overwhelmed by numbers or in anyway out of place. There is plenty of space here for everyone. The menu was extensive and the food quality was amazing - it takes a lot to amaze me! I had been expecting average, but this was excellent. Bury is well known for it's black pudding and it featured in the starters. Chef had blended it well and my nephew was in heaven. My starter included crayfish. I just wish other chefs would make more use of them, as it is a great way of using up an invasive species. The mains were of equally superb quality and included liver which was divine, as was the steak - blue came out blue. The two men supplemented their mains with some excellent Guinness. So the evening continued, culminating in nightcaps in an anteroom between the main restaurant and the bar. In this area drinks and bar snacks can be enjoyed in comfort. It was a truly great evening, during which we enjoyed a level of quality which, I have to confess, was unexpected. So it was at breakfast time, with an extensive menu selection being presented, to start the day. There was no sign of the dreaded breakfast buffet here! The family gathering went well and, once again, for a large group the food quality was of an excellent standard - not always an easy task for some chefs. The hotel has great flexibility and was designed to cater for both large social functions and business meetings. It was our pleasure to stay here and we are grateful to Will, Sam, Manuel and Alberto for taking such excellent care of us throughout our time there..

The Red Hall was the chosen venue of my daughter and her now husband to hold their wedding reception on Saturday 6th September 2014. As the parents of the bride, my wife and I are over the moon at their choice.
As a venue, The Red Hall is very well located. It is exceptionally well maintained, unlike some other local potential wedding venues and it is very clear that the planning and effort that goes into a wedding is fully appreciated by the staff.
From the moment our guests arrived the staff were excellent. They were all extremely smart, polite and attentive and cannot be faulted.
The wedding meal was excellent (very good sized portions too) and the service throughout was faultless, for example the iced water on the tables was regularly refilled without any need to request it and our wedding planner (Warren) kept us informed throughout the day as to what and when things were happening, he was top notch!
As The Red Hall do an 'all inclusive' type package it takes a lot of the pressure of planning a wedding away. They use the services of numerous local companies and because they have worked together many times it is seemless. They even include a really nice gesture of a first anniversary meal for the newlyweds.
My daughter and her husband were over the moon with their special day and we cannot thank everyone at The Red Hall enough for everything they did to make the day so memorable.

Had my 21st celebration here 2 days ago and it was lovely. I would like to thank all staff at the red hall hotel and I like to thank Alison from party essence who did an amazing job with my room. I would recommend the hotel to any and would also recommend Alison. Thank you :)

I stayed at the Red Hall Hotel earlier this month for a wedding. It is really easy to find. It's just off the motorway, but not so close that you can hear it. There's ample parking on site.
The rooms are really well set out. As I had my toddlers with me, the only thing it would have benefitted from was a mini-bar fridge (that I could keep milk in). What was there was superb though. The bed was really comfy.
The staff were really nice and friendly. Breakfast too was fantastic. On my first morning I had eggs Benedict. The egg was poached to perfection, and the hollandaise was nice and tangy. On my second morning I had a full-English with real Bury black pudding.
The price was reasonable too, although I got a discount as I was with a wedding party.
I'd recommend this hotel to anybody staying in this area.

We stayed at Red Hall for 3 nights then returned for one night the following weekend. It can be difficult to book a room for Saturday nights as it is a popular wedding venue. We found that the staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly they appear to be motivated to provide a good service and enable their guests to feel relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in 2 different rooms both were spacious, clean, well maintained and well equiped. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cereal, juice, fruit and so on. There was a good choice of cooked food including full english, kippers, smoked haddock and smoked salmon. We had dinner in the restaura nt on one evening the food was delicious, hot and well presented. The hotel sometimes has restaurant deals ie 40% off the al a carte menu when booked on line .Worth looking out for.

Stayed here due to a wedding we attended. The room (1) was a good size, bathroom clean and tidy. The duvet was too heavy and hot for the summer as the windows only opened slightly, there were no sheets available in the room and late a night I really could not be bothered ringing for assistance. Can't fault anything else other that the duvet. Would recommend this hotel. I have not yet sampled the breakfast but the wedding meal was excellent which rare these days.

Stayed with friend before her wedding. We stayed in a connecting room. Lovely hotel but found the rooms quite small and quite compact . Breakfast was lovely , lots of choices and the kids loved helping themselves .Would recommend for weddings 😉 had a fantastic day and staff were lovely .

Me and my wife booked on late and paid only £50 via late rooms

Absolute bargain we didn't expect it to be so nice. We didn't have breakfast I'm sure it would
of been lovely if it was upto the standard we experienced.

Highly recommend and would
Re visit

This is a review of most most recent of a total of four visits.

The hotel has an excellent bar and restaurant with friendly, efficient staff.

Rooms are comfortable, but lack air conditioning, so can get very warm on those rare sunny days!

We have dined at Legends Restaurant on many occasions and in many scenarios. Universally the food is of an excellent quality with the emphasis on being locally sourced; always cooked to perfection and with a wide choice to suit all.

All the staff are friendly and welcoming too.

We found this hotel as we were attending a family event on the Saturday.
Booking was easily done over the phone and my request for a quiet room was no problem. Our room was clean if a little small but had everything you might want. The breakfast was nice but at £80 for the room, they could have been a little more generous with their portions.
The hotel is nicely placed for Ramsbottom with it's steam railway and many quaint shops.
It's not a hotel you'd want to spend any more than a few days in, but for a short stay it a good little find.

Visited friends and family for Christmas and stayed here as a base for three nights. Christmas Eve dinner was excellent with a friendly atmosphere and staff. The tables had been decorated to add to the Christmas spirit - all very nice. Breakfast was full English, well cooked and very enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and the car parking plentiful. We had stayed here once before when the winter snows and frost caused the outside temperature to fall to -12degC. The hotel however was warm and cosy which is why we stayed here again. Well done to the staff and management. We will be staying there this Christmas!

We were fortunate to stay at The Red Hall on a recent visit to Manchester, very convenient location, only 20 minutess from the city without all the fuss, great bus and tram service from right outside the front door.
We stayed with our little one and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, with our daughter enjoying a great deal of fuss! Everything from the check in to the check out was faultless.
Great food in the Legends restaurant, clean rooms & Amazing Showers! will be back.

I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip. The hotel is functional, the food is relatively good (but avoid the sausages) for a hotel and the staff are excellent. However the walls in the bedrooms are paper thin (stud work), I could hear the person in the next room having a normal telephone conversation as if they were in the same room, other rooms showers going and toilets flushing.

We went to a wedding reception at the Red Hall Hotel, the staff are all very friendly & polite, the meal we had in Legends restaurant was excellent & agreed by all in the party and the service was excellent too, I will definitely be returning for more meals in the future.
I've forgotten the name of the Spanish waiter who looked after us,but I would like to thank him & his team for looking after us so well.

The Red Hall Hotel is not advertised as a stand alone restaurant. I was lucky to be invited to have lunch there, at the Legends Restaurant, on Sunday. The food was excellent, service was brilliant but I was surprised to find out that they do not widely advertise this restaurant as a separate part of their hotel where the general public can enjoy a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. I would advise anyone looking for a restaurant in the Bury/Ramsbottom area to visit and try their wonderful food and hospitality.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the wedding of a close friend on 29 May 2014. I do not live far away so never really had the need to visit the hotel before.
I went to the hotel the night before our stay & the wedding to visit the bride & was immediately impressed with the surroundings inside & out & with the staff. On the day of the wedding we checked into 2 beautiful rooms. We had a double & a twin for my daughters with an interconnecting room. The rooms are very modern with a peaceful luxury feel to them. The beds were very comfortable & the room facilities were excellent.
Not only is this hotel excellent for standard of rooms I have to say the staff were amazing. They attended to our every need & were on hand for whatever the question. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job with the turnaround of my room we were very impressed.
All the food we had for the couple of days we were there was fabulous. The breakfast one of the best we have had.
I will recommend this hotel to many people & also visit more often for lunch or an evening meal. Thank you so much
