Give your mouse a rest for a while and use the keyboard instead. This is better for your wrist and shoulder too.

Here a a few of my favourite Keboard Shortcuts for formatting text in Word.

To make text Bold select the text and then  press the Control Key and the letter B

To make text Italic select the text and then press the Control Key and the letter I

To Underline text select the text and then press the Control Key and the letter U

To change the colour of text first select the text to change and then select the colour from the drop down list on the icon that is a letter A.

To Centre your text, press the Control key and the letter E.

To Right align your text, press the Control key and the letter R

To Left align your text, press the Control key and press the letter L

Enjoy!
