Furnished or Unfurnished – That is the Question?

If you are considering renting out a property in Brent or any other area, you are probably wondering whether to furnish it, or leave it unfurnished.

Tenants rent on an “as seen” basis, so you must consider exactly what you can afford and what the right thing is for you to do.

Unfurnished

An unfurnished property should have the bare minimum:

  • Carpets/Floor Coverings;
  • Curtains;
  • Fridge;
  • Freezer;
  • Oven;
  • Washing Machine.

Beds, Lounge Furniture, Dining Furniture etc do not come part of an unfurnished property.

Furnished

A furnished property should be ready for immediate occupation and can have just the bare minimum plus a few extra items, OR you can provide absolutely everything for example:

  • Carpets/Floor Coverings
  • Curtains
  • Fridge
  • Freezer
  • Oven
  • Washing Machine
  • Beds
  • Bed Linen;
  • Crockery and Cutlery;
  • Bedroom Furniture;
  • Pots and Pans
  • And more!!
