History Originally designated a hunting place for Louis XIII, it was subsequently transformed into this beautiful palace by his son Louis XIV.
All the French kings who lived here have added improvements to the palace with each, in turn, making it larger and more scenic until the French Revolution.
Some of the attractions at the Palace of Versailles are the Hall of Mirrors, the King's grand apartments and Museum of the History of France. The Hall of Mirrors is the place which was designed by Mansart and widely used by the Kings and Queens to showcase their flamboyant authority to impress the guests. Explore this magnificent palace and its magical musical fountains and lose yourself in the beauty of this most famous French tourist attraction.
