As a hypnotherapist, my principal concern is the way the mind responds to its' environment. However, as I know only too well, mood is significantly affected by food. Unfortunately the relationship between food and psychology is a complex one. There is no universal set of rules that applies to everyone. Everyone's body chemistry is unique, and finding out the best combination of foods can be a frustrating drawn-out process. We all know it's best to eat a healthy balanced diet, but it's not quite that simple.

The body is often sensitive to certain nutrients, adversely affecting anything from skin to digestion to mood. Furthermore, the particular food that affects you can be unique to you. If this wasn't complicated enough, certain foods that are not a problem on their own can cause problems when eaten together, or when combined with certain additives, or with caffeine. Over and above this, conditions like hypoglycaemia can make it difficult to function an an optimum level throughout the day.

If you are wishing to be successful in business, getting to the bottom of your body's relationship with food can be significant enough determine success or failure. If you are aware that nutrition seems to affect your mood, you are almost certainly right, and if you can't put your finger on the way it works, it may well be worth your while to employ the services of a proper qualified nutritionist, who can speed up the process of finding the best particular diet for you.
