Just for a moment, imagine that demons existed. Demons possess people and make them do things or react to things in ways they don't want to do, causing them to be unhappy. When a demon has been cast out, it doesn't go back to hell, but keeps just out of harm's reach. No matter how long the liberated person lives or how far they travel, the demon goes with them, not causing any harm but just following. If the liberated person ignores it and stays focused on a meaningful task, the demon will just simply hover around powerless for the life of that person, then go back to hell. What the demon is hoping and patiently waiting for is the person to drop their guard and forget they are vulnerable. Should the liberated person be foolish enough to do this, they will find themselves possessed again worse than ever, as if they had never been freed.

Now substitute the word "demon" for "issue" and you have a good definition of an issue. It is possible to be very successful in business yet have issues, or to deal with an issue, become successful then fall prey to the issue once more and see everything you worked for collapse before your eyes.

As a hypnotherapist I am thoroughly acquainted with issues and how they work in people's lives, and it is my rewarding task to liberate people from them. I am often a last resort. People often carry their issues for decades until the issues start to seriously interfere with quality of life, and even then, people will try every sort of remedy before resorting to me. Perhaps that is because it is difficult to accept that however much you appear to be in control, the fact is that there is something you are hiding that you cannot control at all when you jolly well should. It is hard to go to another, even in the strict confidence I insist on, and admit that there is something you can't handle.

Another fact about issues is that they often start as not being issues at first. For example, you might be overweight but it's not an issue as you don't care and it doesn't stop you doing what you want. Over time though, you can't do what you want anymore and your health starts to deteriorate. It is now an issue but you just carry on as before and live with it. It then gets worse and you try fixing it yourself and later you seek quick fixes from elsewhere that don't work either. You start paying big money for a solution that doesn't emerge and then finally people come to me.

It is always best to deal with an issue as soon as possible and save decades of misery, but the insidious gradual nature of them is such that people are often desperate and at rock bottom when they find me. Perhaps as my reputation grows, people won't wait so long and suffer so much misery before giving me a call!
