Great to be in Bradford

Despite what people who don't live here might say, I would argue forcefully that Bradford is a most excellent place to live, work and invest. I came here as a student in 1981 and I never left. This is because everything I could want is here. Good transport links, good public transport, plenty to do and see and every modern facility. If it wasn't for the credit crunch we'd have a state of the art shopping centre to complement the already plentiful outlets centred on Darley Street.

Business wise there's plenty going on and many opportunities. Economic downturns never last forever and the cityscape will I have no doubt be transformed in the next decade. Furthermore Bradford has the geographic advantage of being compacted into a tight bowl, which means that it's easy to get everywhere important in the city, and yet in under an hour you can be out into the glory of the Yorkshire countryside. Incidentally you can do this particularly quickly on the train from Foster Square, whose electric suburban train links to Ilkey,Leeds and Skipton is the envy of many other localities I could mention.

I can think of a few good reasons to move house, but none whatsoever to move cities, because I can't think of anything I would gain by doing so. I'd say to anyone thinking about living and working here that you have nothing to lose and everything you need.
