thebestof Golf Day
15th July 2009

We were lucky with the weather on Friday 10th July when 14 teams entered our Charity Golf Day in aid of the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust (we'd had thundery storms the previous days).

Several bestof businesses donated prizes for the day and helped us raise over £1200 for the charity. Did you know that the air ambulance doesn't get any money from the government or Lottery, yet it's a service we all would want to rely on if we needed emergency help! It was explained to us that usually the helicopter gets called out 3-5 times/day, but one day recently, it went out 7 times. This is one hard working charity which deserves support (actually there are so many charities who need & deserve support).

Dulak gave us some fabulous helium filled balloons which looked grand at the sit-down dinner. The prize giving for the teams included boxes of personalised cakes especially made by Jessica's Cupcakes. Kraft Upholstery in Tingewick donated a massive footstool which created alot of excitement in the auction!

Other prizes came from Silverstone Classics, Jenny Canning of Viewpoint Recruitment in Daventry, Purpe Orange Photographers in Middleton Cheney.

Well done to Stephen Abel from P4D for entering and playing Texas Shambles; apparently an enjoyable new way to play!
