Discover the beauty and expressive power of Arabic script in a unique Abstract Arabic Calligraphy Workshop at the Octagon. Blending traditional calligraphy with modern abstract art, this hands-on session offers participants the opportunity to explore the shapes, flow, and visual rhythm of the Arabic alphabet in creative and unexpected ways.
Led by an experienced facilitator, the workshop introduces the basics of Arabic calligraphy, from understanding the form and structure of key letters to mastering essential techniques such as pen grip, line consistency, and spacing. Drawing inspiration from contemporary artists like Hassan Massoudy and Dia Azzawi, participants will also learn how to deconstruct letterforms and experiment with abstraction to create their own expressive artwork.
