Very polite, helpful and empathetic

After being faced with a 3+ year waiting list to get my wisdom tooth extracted on the NHS I decided I had to take matters into my own hands. I first contacted the Liverpool branch of Synergy who quoted me 50% lower than any other dentist had for the extraction with no additional add ons (x-ray, consultation, etc. all included in the one price). The only issue being they didn’t have a dental surgeon at the Liverpool branch so they suggested Bolton. At first I was unsure if I wanted to travel there as I don’t drive but Emma, who I spoke to, was just so lovely, professional and helpful. She found an appointment for me two days later and I accepted it. Getting there from Liverpool was fine.

The dentist office itself was absolutely beautiful. I felt like I’d walked into a spa! A vastly different experience to my NHS dentist in Liverpool. The receptionists were so polite and friendly too, as were all of the staff I encountered there.

As for the extraction experience again I only have positive things to say. Every dentist I have seen has had trouble numbing my mouth and believing me when I say I’m still in pain. Dr Wasif, on the other hand, was super reassuring, numbed my mouth almost instantly, and didn’t give me the “are you sure?” line when I told him I could still feel a little bit of sharp pain. Instead he topped up the anaesthetic, confirmed it was fully numb and got to work.

The tooth was out in under 5 minutes (I think about 3). Throughout the extraction I was asked if I was ok multiple times by both dental staff members, reassured and comforted. Honestly, I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. I was so impressed.

Most other dentists wanted me to come in for a consultation with X-rays then come back for the extraction (paying additional fees each time) but at Synergy it was a one time appointment, everything at once, tooth (and pain) gone, and no added unexpected costs. Just a fantastic experience all around.

Got referred here for a wisdom extraction after my own dentist failed to do it.

I was very scared and I get very worked up over stuff like this due to paralysing phobias where I regularly pass out regularly from all medical procedures even basic blood tests.

However I believe my surgeon was called Dr. Wasif Jamil and he was truly amazing.

I was expecting the worst of the worst but it was a great experience I was only in the room for minutes and I’ve had plenty bad experiences with dentists and medical settings in the past where they don’t acknowledge phobias due to my age, but Dr Wasif was friendly.

I would happily see him again if I require oral surgery and he understood my phobia and took his time.

The waiting room is also one of the best I’ve seen too, even my support who came to assist if needed was shocked at how nice it was.

I have 0 complaints & because of how good my experience was; It’s extremely likely that I will soon return here for private cosmetic work in the future

Hey I came to your Bolton clinic today as a referral my appointment was at 4pm and I would like to say a huge thank you! I get so scared and emotional whilst at the dentist having any sort of treatment or procedure, however your amazing dentist and assistant really supported me and cared for me assuring me all the way, holding my hand and wiping away my tears. Honestly I am so so grateful as this really made my experience much more comfortable and enabled me to see through the procedure. Every part of my experience was smooth and positive. Very good staff and surgeon did a quick one I was very surprised had no pain after having my tooth removed. I rather keep them as my main dentist.

Very pleased with the service, receptionist was lovely and kind also the dentist and is assistant was lovely and kind they kept me calm and asked if I was ok has I was having my tooth out. Recommended to other people to see them if having trouble with your teeth.

The surgery was a pleasant relaxing environment. The staff were very helpful and the nurses in particular were very nice and professional.

From start to finish the full experience was seemless, professional and friendly.
The premises are beautiful and very calming. The 2 ladies completing my minor surgery were truly amazing. I told them I was a nervous patient and they explained everything to me as it was going to happen and checked in on me throughout procedure.

When I first entered the reception it was very clear they are professional , beautiful atmosphere , could possibly benefit from higher furniture for people less able to sit on, the nurse and dentist were super friendly and helped me face my fear of injections, feel pretty good after having multiple teeth removed, extremely professional, many thanks

Great experience, very professional and well-equipped dental practice. Treatment was excellent, and staff were very helpful and polite. 5 stars.

The actual procedure - extraction of horizontally impacted lower wisdom tooth - was done very efficiently and both dentist and sedationist were excellent.
However, I was still in some considerable pain on day 5 and called the practice, to be told it can take up to 12 days to settle.
Still in pain and swollen, I visited my own dentist on day 10 and am now on strong antibiotics for a gum infection … and still in discomfort.
I had questioned whether antibiotics should be administered on the day of the dental surgery, but had been told they wouldn’t be needed. With an extraction of this complexity, I am wondering if that should be a consideration …?
