My wife and I have been to this Fish & Chip restaurant several times for lunch and never been disappointed, and there is a small portion deal for pensioners which is very good value for money
We also went to a St Georges night charity dinner which was excellent could not fault the evening one little bit. We had a delicious soup for starters followed by excellent fish and chips topped off by apple pie & custard just like Grandma used to make Fantastic evening with good entertainment.

We have visited here a few times, usually with family. The food is very good and good value for money. The staff are friendly and efficient. The decor is nice , for a cafe, and there is often a pianist playing a grand piano who is excellent! It appeals to older folks but we all like going.

To be totally honest when it opened. You couldn't find a better proper chippie in Bolton. As soon as they started to try to go ela, cart.rebuilt it trippled the prices for one instance l was in the town and I just had to have some real Bolton jockeys whips as im in a wheelchair my step father went and got them he came back with my chips and nearly had a fight over a bag ov chips coz I. DIdn't believe he got them from Olympus he was gone that long it looked like he got some fat micro wave chips with a little crappy fork. My review YES 10 YEARS AGO THAT WAS SIMPLY THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS THIS SIDE OF MANCHESTER THE TRUTH.

Don't be fooled by a fish and chip shop restaurant. This is far from it. We'd gone on a day trip to Bolton and found it recommended as gluten free, so we tried it and glad we did. Amazing tasting fish, home made tartar sauce (bought 2 jars back with us!!). We sat in the Orangery with a real pianist playing too. Had a couple of requests played. It was excellent and worth going back to Bolton just for this restaurant alone! We will be back.

This Restaurant is really excellent in every way. The food is really tasty, well served by courteous staff who couldn't be more helpful whatever your particular choice or problem diet issues are. It is a clean and bright atmosphere with a piano playing in the back ground and it is licensed with very reasonable bar prices. There is a choice of menu options for groups with fish & chips only, or with a dessert followed by afternoon tea later in the day. I took 42 people and didn't have one complaint therefore I would recommend Olympus to any group looking for a good day out.

I've been coming to the Olympus for many years and it's consistently great every time. The batter is light and crisp and the chips are cooked just right. Tasos, his mother and all his staff are very welcoming and treat you like friends. The classic, yet calming restaurant is a civilised oasis in the centre of Bolton and here's to many more fish and chip meals at the Olympus!

Came here, from North Wales, for lunch with a group who had visited the Guide Dog Centre in Atherton. What a great place it was, certainly not what I expected. The proprietor Tasos was so welcoming, witty, and polite he was a joy to hear. We sat in The Orangery where there were comfortable seats to all of the tables. Our fish, chips and mushy peas were all very tasty, especially the fish which was oh so fresh. We also had a choice of brown or white bread with butter, finishing with a cup of tea or coffee. My great-grandson & I also had a dessert - Choc. fudge cake - warmed, with ice cream, syrup sponge & custard - I would have liked a bit more syrup! The waiters and waitresses were very pleasant and had been well trained giving excellent service. I would certainly recommend the Olympus especially as it is near The Octagon Theatre, Bolton Market and not far from the town centre so an ideal place for a pre-theatre meal, or a lunch/dinner stop off point. Not sure about parking though.

We have been frequenting this restaurant since it first opened,it had a makeover a couple of years ago and is now a stylish eatery. We moved over to Altrincham 10 years ago but still visit once a week just to eat there and then come back as there is no other reason to go to Bolton anymore! The pianist when he sees me plays Rachmaninov rhapsody on a theme by Paganini which is very sweet and I really appreciate it.The staff are brilliant which makes it well worth the 46 mile round trip.

We think that this is one of the best Fish and Chip restaurants in the North West. The quality of the food - particularly the fish - was outstanding and the service was the usual quick but discreet.

went into olympus on impulse. i was in a wheelchair after double hip reconstruction. and the gentleman who welcomed us offered me the option of staying in my chair or transferring to a chair, i chose the later and they happily stored my chair out of the way. we had haddock and chips with bread and butter and po of tea included in the price. It was delicious. the staff were very helpful and didn't make me feel like a nuisance wih my chair.
