Olympus never fails to give a warm welcome & a good meal at a fair price! We always go for the pensioners special, good value at £7.60 which includes tea or coffee & bread & butter along with a choice of either fish or a pie! We always have the fish!

Hospitable & friendly staff, food came less than 5 mins after I placed my ordered, I wasn’t expecting that. Great traditional fish & chips, good variety of options available on the menu.

Not expensive for excellent food and they sell a varied rang to tuck into. The staff are brilliant and the piano music is a finishing touch on some evenings.You will be glad to tried it out .

On a very hot Friday afternoon we found ourselves in Bolton without much of a plan.
I'd said let's have a chippy tea, my wife agreed but not knowing Bolton at all well the question was where. Trip Advisor checked, the Olympus was less than 200 yards away.
We were greeted warmly by Tassos who basically said sit wherever want.
Found a table next to the window where we could see the good folks of Bolton and further afield going about their business.
I surveyed the scene and I was reminded of a posh hotel from the seventies or eighties, I thought it was quaint.
It was then to my great surprise that the piano player cranked up. I hadn't realised there was a baby grand less than thirty feet away.
Brilliant!
The food arrived quickly. Fish,chips,mushy peas,two slices of bread and butter and a pot of tea for two. What could be better?
It was fantastic and worth every penny.
An absolute must return.

Nice place to eat. Quick service, shown to table quickly. It is big and airy. If you want want to sit down and have something quick to eat this is best place to go.

Home cooked steak and mushroom pie with fresh jacket potato lovely could not fault it and my partner had plilace and chips amazing a little bit expensive like cheese gravy should be included paid £22 slightly expensive should offer done in meal deals but still wroth it would never go anywhere else for fish and chips

I have reviewed this restaurant before 3 yrs ago, but after a recent visit, I thought I would compliment the way it has carried on, excellent service, good simple food, with hardly any waiting time in a roomy, clean, modern well set out restaurant that is seldom empty what every time you pass, couples with the adjoining Chip Shop that shares the kitchen. They especially cater for parties and functions, being a favourite of theatre goers to the nearby Octagon. Prices have hardly changed from our last visit, most meals are complete with a pot of tea or coffee, bread & butter. We called at lunchtime and whilst quite busy, we were served in no time, pot of tea arrived first, followed shortly by 2 regular cod, chips and mushy peas, all for £17.90, excellent value, there are of course smaller potions offered as well as pensioner specials, very popular whilst we were there, of course they also cater for the larger appetite with extra large potions of different fish! Steak puddings are available! I didn't manage one of their own made sweets! A regular lunchtime calling place.

Visited yesterday lunch whist visiting area for the day. Lovely inviting restaurant, clean & comfortable. Polite, but friendly staff. Excellent meals & service with wide choice menu at reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

The menu has a wide variety to pick from including healthy foods.

My friend and i went a couple of weeks ago as part of a "deal". The Octagon theatre was having an innovative show, starting in the bus interchange, catching the bus to the town hall and then walk to the theatre to see summer holiday. An excellent performance. However we ate at Olympus first, bsaic fish chips and peas and a glass of wine. All very pleasant and a good start to the evening.
