Lovely place.
Came after an appointment I had elsewhere, I'm based in Manchester.
Shared a fish and chips with a family member and had some filtered coffee.
Good service and nice vibes. Would be nice to see the piano being played if I came again but in the evening.

Often go to Olympus prior to theatre. The staff are amazing and attentive. Fish and chips are the best around.

Visited for lunch and had the salmon and cod special. We also had a bottle of Sauvignon. Food was excellent quality although the salmon I opted for was grilled and was slightly over cooked. Portion sizes are relatively small for the price in my opinion.
The wine selection is small but the Sauvignon we had was unexpectedly good.
We were welcomed at the door and informed to sit anywhere and someone would be over with a menu. The menu took a little time to make its way over.
Overall, I would say the food is generally excellent and the wine is surprisingly good. Portion size is marginally below average. My negatives are critical but honest. Definitely recommend a visit however!

It's beautifully furnished. Tastefully decorated and the staff are amazing. The food was proper traditional fish and chips but at nearly £14 for what was quite a small portion with a slice of bread and a cup of tea. I thought was very expensive so it's a special occasion visit for me in future I'm afraid.

In today's world the Olympus is idiosyncratic...no doubt successful yet unquestionably quirky...a throw-back to yesteryear. An old fashioned (I'm thinking post war) emporium, that was bulging during our visit with a largely, but by no means exclusively senior citizen lunchtime customer profile, all enjoying decent food at affordable prices. The decor and ambience seems somehow to remind me of a time gone by...nostalgia at its best!
The staff were sharp, attentive and friendly and the toilets were clean...what more could you want from this pastiche of all that is good in an old fashioned, enigmatic but delightful fish and chip parlour. Long may the Olympus reign.

Was part of a two coach hoard that descended on this establishment. Although it was pre booked, it was still amazing how well they coped. Good hot gish and chips served by staff that were eager to please.
