Came here on an evening and only people in so felt very empty!! Had cheese and onion pie which was delicious,but small portion of chips and felt very overpriced which put a bit of a dampener on things!!

Everything was spotless, me and my partner had the cod and chips it was so fresh and cooked perfectly.Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for looking after us too…

Olympus is by far one of the best fish and chip eateries in the UK, and I've visited a fair few up and down the country.
As soon as you walk in you are greeted and seated (They ask you where you'd prefer to sit, rather than chucking you somewhere) which makes you comfortable.
When you're ready to order, you simply visit the counter and within 5 minutes or so your food arrives. The portion size is good and not overwhelming.
The atmosphere of the place is fantastic. Taso, the owner of the business, is very chatty and engages with everyone he can and is the heart and soul of the place. His staff are very attentive and helpful.
Every now and again you'll find a pianist playing soft melodies in the centre of the room which adds a nice classy touch.
The open conservatory/Orangery in the back is very appealing and leads out to a well presented 'Back garden area' which also has seating in nice weather.
My last visit was today (Wednesday 14th June) and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal I had with a good friend of mine who tried the food here for the first time)
I've been visiting this place for almost 20 years and the food has been consistently good. For the reasons above, I highly recommend this restaurant and wish continued success in years to come.

This is THE place if you remember traditional fish and chip shops especially at the seaside. Great quality food with friendly and efficient staff. Just the same for a pre-show supper this evening - excellent.

Had the Scampi and it was delicious! Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought there was table service, but I had to order at the counter. It was extremely busy for a Monday and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for 1, as dud the party of 4 in front of me. Will definitely be back!

Loved the plaice and the place. Fish, chips and mushy peas, a real treat, especially with the background music provided by an excellent pianist playing music from musicals and many old standards. Delightful.

Came as a group as part of an organised holiday.Great welcome lovely surroundings and the tastiest fish and chips we had in a long time. Apple pie was good too. They catered well for our vegan guest and also someone who couldn't eat fish!

The main meal was really nice and tasty.
I had a pudding, which was Apple pie & custard
But it was so bland and tasteless I couldn't finish it. That's why I only gave 4*, other wise it definitely would have been 5*.

There can't be a more civilised, stylish and relaxing fish n'chip restaurant anywhere.
A pianist serenely playing the piano in a conservatory style environment whilst enjoying an excellent British fish n'chip supper, traditionally accompanied by bread and butter and a pot of tea. Olympus is also licensed with wine and beer choices.
The menu features varied dishes, several versions of fish dishes, battered or grilled, as well as pizzas. All supported by rapid service.
Prices seem reasonable, cheaper than some pubs for fish n'chips.
The restaurant is spacious, airy and uncluttered.
Very enjoyable first visit.
