This was my first time visiting the Octagon; it’s a charming venue just off the high street with a bar and comfortable-looking pre-theatre dining area.

I saw the auditorium in its thrust-stage format (for ‘Bouncers’) which allowed for decent views wherever you sat- though the central bay is best!

I’m looking forward to returning for Little Shop of Horrors.

The Octagon provides great facilities, especially important with a disabled wife. There is ample parking next to the theatre. Staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. The auditorium style venue makes you feel very close to the action with an intimacy not offered by larger theatres. I've enjoyed every visit and look forward to many more. If you don't want to take in a show, just enjoy a light meal or drink with friends or family.

Had an absolutely brilliant night last night at The Octagon Theatre, watching
JOHN GODBER's "Bouncers." Laugh out loud funny and a times quite poinient. What a brilliant cast, if you can remember clubbing in the 80s, you'll recognise most if not all of the characters.

Absolutely hilarious...and poignant!..
Met my husband at the Ritz Manchester... completely perfect portrait of the club scene at the time....I'm chuckling about it hours later! Completely accurate and SOOOOO funny!!! If you have a husband like mine who's not into "theatre"... Take them to see this!!... Absolutely brilliant!!!!
Thanks for a brilliant evening!!!!

Northanger Abbey performed by three actors playing all parts, it was quite one of the best nights at the theatre that I have had for a long time- they held the audience from the first to the last, highly amusing and very inventive - highly recommended.

Great small theatre. Organised queueing at the bar, which always feels better than a free-for-all.

We watched Animal Farm. The show was great.

The team on site are very welcoming. You are able to pre order half time snacks and drinks in advance to allow you to avoid the queue (which moves quickly) during the interval.

The theatre is fresh inside and is accessible.

Our seats were a bit short on leg room, my dad asked an usher if he would be able to move to a free seat with more leg room. It was sorted with no fuss.

Everything was reasonably priced and I would have no issues recommending the venue to you.

We wentvto see 'Animal Farm.' Really enjoyed it. Relatively affordable prices. Good bar facilities. There's also a restaurant which I haven't used yet.
There's also a cryptic puzzle in the gents toilet. See photo.

We were asked to decorate the large room up stairs for a Baby shower party in the nightmare before Christmas theme a couple of weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised how big the room was, with its own little bar to serve your guests and plenty of tables and chairs. It's so different to your pub, hotel or golf club venues, you'll be pleased. I'd recommend taking a look to see if it accommodates your event or party. It's right in the middle of Bolton town center so it's in a perfect location for all your guests to get to.
The venue is really clean and the staff were very helpful whilst I was there setting up.

Friendly, helpful staff. Every production has been of the highest standards. Also, it's definitely worth having a pre-theatre meal in the restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
