Bolton Young Person's is professional,ethical and above all caring. The Scheme understands what a fine line there is between things in life being o.k and everything collapsing around a person's feet. They are completely non-judgemental and try to find ways of supporting young people which best suits their needs. They give young people the opportunity to express their feelings and help them with the realities of living in today's society.

BYPHS has helped large numbers of young people with serious problems over the years and is continuing to help even more, with the recently established Night Shelter and a new Front Door Project to come. Most homeless people have multiple problems, including education difficulties, mental health problems and sometimes addictions and criminal behaviour. BYPHS staff are very able at meeting all challenges and have good relations with other agencies and organisations for appropriate referrals.
The staff are very professional but also very caring and good at communicating with the young people. the organisation is innovative and reliable, building on past successes but very open to finding better ways of helping those in need. Managers are very effective at motivating staff, maintaining efficient systems and bringing in funds

When I first entered Nightstay and onto the books of Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme i was confused young person and my life was spiraling out of control. But with the help and support of the staff at Nightstay and at BYPHS I managed to get it back on track. They encouraged me to go for platform 2 which I was accepted for and was supposed to be going to Nepal but this didn't come off for a number of reasons. I have been in work ever since and have set myself goals and am now working in Africa which is amazing. This would not of been possible without the help or support from these people at BYPHS and Nightstay.

BYPHS have been there for me when I had no one there and all through my pregnancy they were very supportive. I would like to say a massive thank you for being there for me and all the other young people who felt like they have had nobody to talk to i dont know were i would be now if it was not for them your all 1 in a million and my heart goes out to you all so so so much for all the work your all doing a amazing job keep it going I cant say how long I have been with BYPHS but they will always be in my heart for everything they have done and no matter what us young people do or have done they never judge us or think of you any less.

I was with BYPHS for about 4 years and they helped me soooo much. I was always very shy and hardly ever spoke to anyone and they helped me to gain confidence and new friendships and a lot of those friendships I still have. BYPHS has helped me me out soooo much. They’re friendly and down to earth and make you feel welcome, yet very professional and get things (benefits, housing etc..) sorted out pronto. They don’t judge you or your situation and do their best to help any way they can..and if they cannot, they will advise you on the person who can help.
I’ve known them for 10 years and I can still ring them up when I’m feeling stuck or with a problem I can’t deal with..

BYPHS is a big part of my life they always have been, they have helped me so much throughout the good times and even the bad times. They have never judged me and were always there to help me. They were even there for the biggest day of my life which was my wedding day and Lynne even made my wedding cake and even came and seen me when I had my children . I can talk to any of them in confidence. They are one in a million and I would not change anything about them. If it weren’t for BYPHS I would not be the person I am today and I owe them everything for that. I would like to say a really big thank you to them all for just being there for me and for still being a big part of my life …

BYPHS put me on the right track when I was confused and stressed out and very homeless. They gave me a room in a house that gave me the much needed boost in independence and confidence to make some drastic changes in my life, that before then I was too afraid to do. My support worker Becs was AMAZING! What I would have done without her help is beyond me! I have popped in once or twice to say hello and have always been greeted by a smile and had a lovely chat. I really believe that it’s because of BYPHS and Becs in part that I made the good decisions I needed to make and put me on the track I’m on today =)

You have helped me grow into a strong independent young lady by showing me a light at the end of the tunnel when i felt like giving up after my BAP placement went wrong you helped me get a flat and put my feet back on the ground you gave me the stability to carry on with my NVQs and now you have helped me to move on to independent living in a nice house for me and my son. Thank you all especially Diane she always seems to pull me through. I dont no where Id be without you xx

BYPHS were really helpful for me and my sister over 10 yrs ago wen my mum moved to Scotland and we didn’t want to go. they were always available if we wanted any advice or support from them. Linda and Becs were extremely helpful for us, and when it was time for us to move on they were still there for us. Even though it was a long time ago, we are still in contact with everyone at BYPHS and they are always pleased to see us.
