I have done a lot of work across the charity sector in Bolton. When their amazing CEO, Maura Jackson, asked me to help set up the guardianship scheme I didn’t hesitate - in fact I became one of the first guardians. Bolton would be a far poorer place without this incredible charity..Not only does it house young people at risk of homelessness it gives them hope. It encourages, enables and equips them to reach their full potential. They have staff members who were former residents. I was delighted to read in the latest annual report of a young person who moved right through every stage and has just moved into independent housing and university education whilst managing autism. Hats off to you amazing people - not going to call you staff members because I know this is a calling, a vocation not just a job. God bless you and all the Backup residents ❤️🙏🏼
