Is Bognor Regis the best place in the world?

Yes?
Good - if you think it is. Why not help to make it even better!

No?
Well, now you can do something about it!

Bognor Regis is our town, and we can always moan about the state of it; why planning permission was or was not granted; plans, or lack of them for redevelopment; lack of things to do for us or our families; and so on.

Moan no more!

Find out, NOW, how you can make a difference in our community. Two drop-in sessions have been organised explaining how to become a Parish, Town, District or County Councillor.

And the good news is .................. you do not have to belong to a political party to be a local councillor!

The two sessions are to be held on : -

Wednesday 20th October 2010 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm
at Arun Civic Centre, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton BN17 5LF

Or on

Saturday 23rd October 2010 from 10.30am to 12.30pm
At St Mary’s Centre, Felpham, Bognor Regis PO22 7NU

Ask all the questions you want –

What does a District Councillor do?
What does a Town or Parish Councillor do?
What does a County Councillor do?
Can I be an Independent Councillor?
Can I do it?
What allowances do councillors get?
What training is there available?

It is all very civilised - have a cup of tea, and a chat with serving councillors, watch a DVD, and take away a bag of information and “goodies”.

Brought up on the South Coast, and with over 15 years in Bognor Regis, I love the place. Not everything is right, here, but nowhere is perfect. We are the sunshine capital of the mainland UK!
