Bring out your inner warrior with a lively mud run and obstacle course in the vast grounds of Elm Park in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex on June 12, 2016. Willow Warrior will raise funds for Willow - the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days.

Back for its second year, Willow Warrior promises to bring more mud, mischief and mayhem. The ‘fun mudder’ is great for anyone who’s been tempted by a mud obstacle run, but doesn’t want to risk being electrocuted!

With 5K and 10K routes available, it’s ideal for beginners and seasoned obstacle runners alike. There’s a series of challenging natural and man-made obstacles including paint guns, cargo nets, tyre and river runs, a giant slippery slide and much more.  You can compete as a team or on your own, but be prepared for plenty of mud, fun and adventure.

First across the finish line completing the 5K course last year, was 43-year-old Marianne Palmer from Bishop’s Stortford. After the event Marianne said: “I’ve done some 10K runs before, but this was my first mud obstacle event. It was particularly good fun, well organised and there was a fantastic atmosphere. There was a great team spirit with encouragement and support from all, both on and off the track.  I hope this event raises local awareness of Willow and that even more people participate next year.”

Get more mud for your money, with 10K entry fee at £44 and 5K entry fee at £34 Willow Warrior is one of the best value obstacle courses around. Book your place online now at willowfoundation.org.uk/warrior

We ask everyone taking part to try and fundraise as much as they can for Willow to help create more unforgettable Special Days. To date, Willow has provided more than 12,000 Special Days for young adults diagnosed with a life-threatening condition such as cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis and Huntington’s disease.
