On the back of a well received preview at the Bishop’s Stortford Music Festival Professor Pop’s Bubble School is launching at RHODES ARTS COMPLEX on FRIDAY 1 JUNE at 2PM.
The show, due to go on a nationwide tour in 2019, is an all singing, all dancing journey which takes little bubble students through a world of bubble wonder which audiences old and young will love.
A launch in Bishop’s Stortford is apt given the cast is packed with alumni of Rhodes Panto’s past including Professor Pop, played by Connor Linden, who has appeared in principal roles in various pantos including Dick Whittington in 2014. Also starring is George Jack, who played children’s favourite Muddles in last year’s record breaking run of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The show is produced by the brains behind the Rhodes Panto, Phoenix Theatre Arts, and has been developed to both entertain, in true panto fashion, whilst also presenting one of the hardest academic subjects, mathematics, to a young audience in a fun and engaging way. Producer and Director, Phil Dale, commented: “I have been producing pantos for over 20 years and I've always thought that theatre should be fun and engaging. Having been introduced to the concept of children learning basic maths and science principals through bubbles the idea for a bubble show evolved." "Professor Pop's Bubble School looks to engage young children in Maths and Science in a fun and interactive way.” “Whilst we hope that all bubble students will learn something on the day, a day at Bubble School is like no other, no exams, no tests, no grumpy teachers – but lots of fun and masses of bubbles!”
Tickets for Professor Pop’s Bubble School on FRIDAY 1 JUNE are available from RHODES ARTS COMPLEX Box Office 01279 710 200 or online at: www.rhodesartscomplex.co.uk. Ticket prices start at just £10 for this preview.
