The Solar Installers may be a new member to thebestof Bishop’s Stortford, but they have long been involved in the local community, installing solar PV panels that not only save money, but actually enable homeowners to produce their own energy that can then be sold at a profit.

The DECC (Department of Energy and Climate Change) recently announced the Government has proposed to reduce solar Feed in Tariffs (FiT) and implement a cut-off point of December 12th 2011.

Solar PV panels installed before December 12th will enjoy the higher rates currently being enjoyed by The Solar Installers’ customers, whereas those systems under 250kW installed after the deadline will have to make do with a much lower rate.

Therefore, The Solar Installers’ install teams are working hard across the region to complete all remaining orders, which include a major project near Brentwood, and four PV installations in Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbo.

However, there still may be an opportunity for new orders to be finished before the December 12th deadline if clients are able to make an early decision.
