Between April 10th and May 18th 2012, East Herts District Council will be refurbishing Apton Road car park in Bishop’s Stortford.

As Carole Lloyd, secretary of Bishop’s Stortford Chamber of Commerce comments, “I am sure that once refurbished the car park will be a credit to the town.”

Usually shoppers, businesses and employees have access to 96 car parking spaces, but while work is being carried out, there will be severe restrictions on the number of parking spaces available.

Local notices and leaflets will be erected in the car park for the duration and EHDC advises market traders to park in Link Road until the refurbishment is complete. Notices will also be visible on the East Herts District Council and in the Observer before work starts.

EHDC Members will be advised and informed of progress via the Member Information Bulletin.
