If you’re one of the many householders who have been lucky enough to sell your home but unlucky enough to find a more desirable property to move to then self storage could be the perfect answer.

Selling and moving home at the same time is one of the most stressful experiences you will encounter which is why many people decide to leave a deliberate gap between the sale and their moving-in date to take away some of the pressure. AJ Stephenson Removals and Storage – Billericay’s premier removal and storage firm - understands this situation perfectly which is why they have created what is widely regarded as the easiest, most cost-effective means of self storage in the country.

Instead of a self store room, customers are able to drive up to the company’s warehouse and store household contents in its clean and secure wooden storage containers. The facility, based on the outskirts of Billericay, not only provides easy access (clients can back their vehicles right up to the storage unit), it’s also much more secure so there’s no chance of any break-ins. And now there are even more reasons to opt for AJ Stephenson’s unique storage facilities. From October 2012, traditional self storage sites will have to charge VAT on storage which means AJ Stephenson’s prices will be another 20% cheaper.

Alan Stephenson, owner of the Billericay firm, which was recently voted the nation’s best-loved removal business, said: “There are so many advantages to our container-based operation. You can back your vehicle right up to the storage unit, eliminating the need for trolleys and a long walk! We also provide 10 blankets and cardboard boxes in each container so you don’t have to worry about how you’re going to protect your furniture. We also have enhanced security systems in place (including live CCTV internet security and police response alarms) and provide free insurance of up to £3,000 per container to give our customers additional peace of mind.

“We are constantly trying to think of ways to make our customer lives easier as we know from the decades we’ve been in the removal business how much anxiety moving home can cause. We pride ourselves on putting the customer first and are delighted to have been placed in the top ten of the National Guild of Removers and Storers, of which there are more than 300 members, in both March and April. We are hopeful the success will be repeated this month.”

A single container holds 250 cubic feet while smaller containers hold 190 cubic feet. Customers unsure of their storage needs can visit the company’s website to use its online volume calculator which will work out how many storage containers you will need. The business also operates a delivery and collection service so you can have the container delivered and packed on your doorstep before being taken back to the site.

Containers are priced at £9.50per week for up to three months and £8.50 per week for over three months. For more information, call 01277 653268 or click here
