On Friday 17th July 2009, myself and my partner Suzanne attended the 2009 Basildon Business Awards at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon. The organisation of the event and the whole night in general really impressed me and the staff at the Towngate were also very accomodating.
The evening started with a champagne reception which then followed by a delicious 3 course meal. At 9 o Clock we were taken to our seats in the main theatre where the awards ceremony took place. It was really nice to see so many businesses being recognised throughout the Basildon area. Thebestof Basildon was nominated for the best business to business award, which unfortunatley we didn't win. But as many say, it is the taking part that matters. We will see what happends in 2010.
