It’s that time of year again when teenagers will begin the laborious task of revision. January signals the start of mock exams for GCSE students which will be all too quickly followed by the real thing in the Summer.

Exam preparation is tricky for even the most studious of youngsters but if you’re finding one or two subjects difficult to grasp, it can be very hard to feel confident.

Thankfully youngsters in Billericay have another option with the services provided by the Kip McGrath Education Centre. The Centre provides additional tuition for children aged 6 to 16 years old in Maths, English and 11+ and has a proven record for excellent results.

Centre Director Samantha Magee (BA Hons) is a full qualified, CRB-checked teacher with a wealth of teaching experience from primary through to GCSE level and has achieved an excellent reputation for boosting pupil’s self-esteem which has had a direct impact on their academic performance.

“The Centre can give youngsters the confidence they need to improve their academic knowledge and skills,” she said. “With exams on the way, one of the benefits of using the Centre is the fact we can fill in the gaps in knowledge – it doesn’t have to be a whole module. So if your child is struggling to grasp one aspect of a subject or they’ve missed part of a module, then extra tuition could be the answer.

“Our service is not just for those who are finding academic work difficult, we can also encourage high-achievers to excel that little bit further and help them realise their full potential.”

The Billericay’s education specialist provides tuition for children who are just starting to read to those studying for their 11+, SATs and GCSEs.

The centre also provides support to children who are falling behind at school, are struggling to understand English and Maths concepts, have a learning difficulty such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADD/ADHD, those who are preparing for exams and those who need to push ahead with their studies.

Lessons are 120 minutes long and students can have as many or as little as they require (after school or at the weekend). After an initial assessment, tutors will develop an individualised programme of study to help the child achieve their educational goals.

The Centre is currently offering a free lesson to new pupils who come on-board throughout December. For more information about its services call 01277 621515 or 07887 423123. Click here to visit their website.
