Hosted by Dr Michael Newell (Senior Lecturer in Health, Nutrition and Exercise), this event will also feature live workshops from academics and students who will showcase topics including sustainable nutrition and cooling techniques.

This event will utilise the University's state-of-the-art laboratory spaces and facilities found at the Bedford campus, which are purpose-built for research and teaching in the fields of exercise and nutrition science. This includes specialised equipment and facilities for assessing human health risks and delivering exercise and diet interventions for health promotion. These specialist labs give students a fantastic environment to develop their research skills and expertise

What will this event be about?

Join us for an enlightening evening as we delve into the implications of a warming world on sports science, exercise physiology, and nutrition. This event, led by Dr Michael Newell, will explore how climate change is reshaping the way we think about health, fitness, and our environment.
