Last weekend over 135 people came to visit Jordans Quaker Meeting House which is one of the Grade 1 listed buildings in Buckinghamshire.  Cream teas were served in our Penn Room and there was also an exhibition about six remarkable Quaker women who are buried at Jordans.  They include William Penn's wives;  Hannah Penn was the first woman  Governor of an American state. We are incredibly grateful to all those who came to help serve teas and cake and guide visitors around this historic building, thank you!

This weekend we have a large wedding so we are hoping for good weather to ensure that it is a special day for the couple.

Looking ahead we have begun preparations for Quaker Week in the first week of October. On October 2nd we look forward to hearing presentations on Quaker Social action and having the opportunity to chat with any visitors who may have questions about 'Who are the Quakers?' On Friday 8th we will host a Day Retreat, perfect in the peaceful, tranquil surroundings of New Jordans.

In November there will be a weight management class starting here run in 10 week blocks from November 3rd. For further details from the people running the classes phone us at the office; 01494 876594.
