  • Managing challenging behaviours’.
  • Helping those with the disease stay independent for as long as is feasible.

Caroline Major, Care Manager for Home Instead South Bucks, commented, “This training programme necessarily required considerable commitment to learning by Lorna, including 3 timed exams. This demonstrates her dedication to providing outstanding service to Home Instead clients who suffer from this condition” Lorna was thrilled to be the first to complete the special course and she said, “When I was asked if I would be happy to take the Alzheimer's Training course I thought that it would be a good opportunity to learn lots more about all aspects of Alzheimer's and dementia.  The course material was in fact interesting and I know that I will be able to apply all the knowledge that I have gained to care for my clients in a more positive and enriching way both for them and myself" Home Instead South Bucks franchise owner, Michael Lawson, offered his own congratulations to Lorna adding, “The commitment of Lorna and also the 5 other Caregivers’ undertaking the Advanced Alzheimer’s Training programme demonstrates our desire to offer our clients the best service possible.
