An email this morning from marcom, a Bath and London based marketing company with local, national and international clients, caught my eye. It was about word of mouth advertising and how social media can work for your business. A great summary about what to do and just as importantly what not to do to get word of mouth really working for your business.
Here at thebestofbath we are recognising what Mark is saying by increasing our Membership criteria for new prospective business members of thebestofbath so that they have to prove to our satisfaction that they are one of the best companies locally in their field. Our ultimate rule of thumb is 'would we recommend them to a close relative?' We can then confidently promote them in all sorts of ways, one of which will be through social media (like this blog!). We are currently setting up a Facebook page and Twitter account so we can talk about what our members are up to!
