Olympic Torch comes to Basingstoke

The Olympic Torch is coming through Basingstoke on Wednesday 11th July and the whole town is gearing up for this momentous occasion.  Around 12.15pm, the torch bearers should arrive in Basingstoke to commence their run through the town up new road, then turning right into London Steet, following into Winchester Street and then down the Winchester Road.

Kestrel FM is erecting a marquee at Northwood Letting & Estate Agents on the junction of Winchester Street and New Road and will be entertaining the public throughout the day whilst they are waiting for the torchbearers to arrive.

Many roads around Basingstoke will be closed off from around 9.00am so visit the basingstoke Council website here for more details of the day.

The Best of Basingstoke wishes you a great day and our team would love to meet you if you are around the Kestrel FM Marquee at Northwoods at all during the day.
