The Easter School Holidays are almost upon us, parents and carers will be searching for things to do with the children, we have one outstanding opportunity for good clean entertainment in the fresh air right in our midst.

Milestones Museum of Living History is located in the Leisure Park in Town and is a wonderful opportunity to walk back in time for a day or an hour or two. Milestones is made up of a collection of streets that were lovingly restored and built in the Museum allowing visitors to experience what Hampshire life was like back in the 1930’s.

The Milestones Museum of Living History was opened by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh on 1st December 2000 since when it has grown into a major attraction for school-aged children, their younger contemporaries, and of course Mums, Dads, and Grand Mums and Grand Dads for whom it is a trip down memory lane.

The Museum was established as a joint project by Hampshire County Council and Basingstoke Borough Council, supported by The Lottery Fund, and since 2014 ownership of the Museum was transferred to the Hampshire Cultural trust.
