It’s back! Basingstoke Variety Show returns this autumn and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The show’s line-up this year includes over 300 local performers, including singers, dancers, musicians and stand-up acts, performing at The Anvil on Saturday 6 October.

Tickets are now on sale for the fundraising annual event, with proceeds going to the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane’s Charity Appeal for three local causes – Basingstoke Mencap, Naomi House and Jacksplace, and Basingstoke NeighbourCare.

There will be a jam-packed programme of live music and dance, showcasing brilliant local talent, and compered by Rachel Barker.

Top acts taking to the stage include JG Dance, M and M Academy of Arts, Russian Junior Choir, International Music Group plus other solo acts and performers from local schools such as St Mark’s C of E Primary School and Tadley Community Primary School.

Producer Ian Aherne said: “We are thrilled to be working with so many talented groups from the borough and more than half of them have never performed in the show before.

“The show is shaping up to be a fantastic night of entertainment for three amazing causes.”

Mayor Cllr Seán Keating said: “I’m really looking forward to watching the best of Basingstoke’s talented performers on stage at the variety show and I hope you will join me for an evening of great entertainment.

“Please support this excellent event as funds raised from the show will benefit my charity appeal’s three good causes.”

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are £16 for adults and £12 for over-65s, full-time students and under-16s, including a £2 booking fee.
