If you can sing, dance, create music or make people laugh, you’re invited to step into the spotlight for this year’s glittering Basingstoke Variety Show.

The popular fundraising show, to be held at The Anvil on 7 October, will raise funds for the Basingstoke and Deane Mayor’s Charity Appeal.

Auditions for the fundraising event will take place on Saturday 20 May at Queen Mary’s College (QMC) Basingstoke, and are open to individuals and groups of all ages who live in, or are closely connected with, the borough.

Audition slots must be booked in advance by emailing thebvs@hotmail.co.uk. Alternatively, you can send an audition video to the team at the same email address.

Last year’s show was a huge hit, featuring more than 350 performers showcasing local talent. Highlights included JG Dabce, Rising Phoenix, BATS Next Gen and Everest Community Academy.

Producer Ian Aherne said: “This is a call-out to local performers, especially unknown solo acts and groups, to audition to take part in this fantastic community show.

“This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever before - so if you can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, tell jokes or have any other theatrical talent, we would love to see you on the stage.”
