Fresh Produce in Barrow and Furness
Ulverston Market Hall and Street Market is a great place to get your fresh produce. The Market Hall has a local deli, bakers and fabulous greengrocer who sell the freshest produce at very reasonable prices. It's the perfect place to buy your fresh fruit and veg, bread and cheese.
What a lovely place to visit. It has a wide variety of things to purchase, clothes, toys, handbags etc., but what makes it special is the people. As we walked round (admittedly on a slow Tuesday), all the stall holders were so pleasant and friendly. Oh, if you do visit you must try the market cafe. It's old fashioned in the nicest sense. The staff there are so pleasant and kind, nothing was too much trouble, and their teacakes are delicious. In fact we found all the people of Ulverston friendly with a cheery word. What lovely day, even the weather was good!
