attended an outdoor performance in this park on a summer's evening - lovely surroundings - lighthouse up on the hill - would have loved to explore more and will do so in future.

We attended a Naming Ceremony at Ford Park.
The ceremony was stunning.
Unfortunately they were very short staffed in the function room. Only one member of staff was running the whole event.
She worked her socks off, up and down stairs, carrying trays of food, trying to set up the event.
It was the hottest day of the year, we all run out of water, no drinks ordered were taken, as the one member of staff was so busy.
When we eventually ate, the food was beautiful, and plentiful.
Drinks were eventually ordered with the same girl, who was doing everything single handedly.
It was a beautiful event, spoilt only by the lack of staff. I think in future this issue needs to be addressed.

Ford Park is a great place for the family.
The café is now run by a different team / organisation. Limited choice of food.

Ford Park is run by a voluntary group who maintain the grounds beautifully. There are areas to exercise dogs and a play area for younger ones. A garden nursery, for purchase of plants, is open on Saturdays offering a reasonable variety of well grown plants at reasonable prices. There is a small cafe that offers a limited but great tasting foods.i have spent many hours here and always enjoyed myself. Hope you enjoy it too.

Nice park close to town centre, with a zip line, swings, rope climbing frame and other activity centers, with two large fields either side of a central pathway that leads to the Monument

Our first experience of a 'professional chef' menu, and we weren't disappointed. We had our first experience of wood pigeon which was beautiful. Followed by Sea Trout and then Lamb. The accompanying vegetables were devine, and cooked to perfection.

The pannacotta was delicious. If I had one criticism, the chocolate torte was just too rich after 4 courses. It was extremely chocolaty and the chocolate ice-cream was amazing.

All finished off with coffee and a homemade artisan chocolate (petit fours) 😋

We'll definitely be back.

Visited on a Monday and nothing open - shop, flower gardens all closed. Park area good but nothing suitable for young children. Parking area ok and toilets were available.

Not worth a specific trip but ok if already visiting Ulverston.

Not quite got the impressive views as the Hoad Monument but this is a nice park with lots of kids and plenty of space.

My first experience of volunteering in a town where I knew nobody. Rewarding and of benefit to my mental recovery. Led to friendships and the confidence to try new things. Nowadays I love taking friends on an amateur guided tour. Plus relaxing on the field after lunch in the cafe with my grandson is a new feeling of achievement
