I have travelled a long way today and we lost to a 94th minute winner but I have had a wonderful train ride from Lancaster stopped at Carnforth for a Brief Encounter and met someone I haven't seen in years and had a good catch up. To cap my day I went to the Club Shop and the bloke who runs it and the Reception Desk went out of his way to find me a programme. I won't remember the game for very long but I will remember someone who went the extra mile and showed me exactly what supporting League 2 clubs is all about. Thank you so much for making me feel valued and special

Very friendly staff. The ground feels like none league. The grass was fairly long, which does encourage slick football. Standing areas are available for those that want to. The flood lights are only just give enough light. I should imagine if one goes out there would be very dark areas

It's a nice enough ground but they could do so much better.

It does not help that one of the chaps at one of the gates was wearing a Man City hat. They should be wearing Barrow kit or not at all, in my view.

The match day programmes are not on sale inside the ground and you have to go into the corporate hospitality entrance, to find a security door, to the inside right, marked Shop above it. Not obvious at all, especially if you walk clockwise around the ground, as they is no signage at all. Only one small sign on the outside, seen if walking anticlockwise.

The main stand has a good view but the nearside touch line cannot be seen, even if standing at the back. I suspect that the opposite terrace will also suffer the same.

All the atmosphere for my game came from the away team.

Finally, there are pillars everywhere. That is OK if you are on a terrace but be careful if you are seated, as one could easily obscure the goals.

First visit to Barrow, parked at the Barrow Supporters Club car park next door to the ground. Called in for a pint before the game. Very friendly staff and customers. Staff at the ground were also friendly, from the girls in the ticket office, the stewards and the fans. Shame about the result, and the awful rain. You have to be tough to be a Barrow fan with that weather.

First time visitor to Holker Street. The club is obviously close to its community, nice fanzone area, all newly refurbished. The ground has recieved a lick of paint, and looks fresh.
I have given it 5 stars based on the division they play in, friendliness of staff, and welcome you recieve.
A long way for most fans to visit, but we'll worth it in my opinion.

Barrow was ground 61/92 that I have been to, its OK, was stood in the home end so was good to stand, like the old days. Steak Pie was lovely, loads of places to park, and a decent little pub over the road called Tally Ho. Not a bad away day....

Sorry to say that although I applaud all "small" Clubs attempting to climb the Football ladder, but Barrow's away standing section is clearly not up to Football League standards. The staff and stewards are very friendly but the absence of safety barriers could be dangerous. When we scored there was an obvious surge forward of happy fans but they were falling into each other and some fell to the ground. Would love Barrow to stay in the League but they MUST spend on facilities.
