17th December 2017

In cooperation with Startup Guernsey, thebestof Guernsey held a Get Connected With Social Media seminar this month, at the Digital Greenhouse.

This free event was held on Wednesday 13th December 2017 for fourteen local businesses and charities, giving them tips on how to use social media to connect, engage and interact with their target audience. The seminar was very well received:

"I really enjoyed the Get Connected with Social Media Seminar I attended yesterday, I definitely learnt some new valuable tips for helping with future Sarnia Mutual Facebook posts. Nicole and Rick are a credit to Guernsey they are always so friendly and helpful :) I look forward to the next Seminar." - Debbie H

"Thank you for the social media session yesterday. It’s given me some good info and I've got a list of actions that I'll be taking shortly to make better use of social media rather than just churning out posts or falling into the trap (which I'm already in) of focusing on the social media that I personally use. Thanks again and it was a pleasure to meet you Nicole." - Wynter T

Host, Nicole Bromley Social Media Consultant from thebestof Guernsey, covered such topics as branded hashtags, B2B marketing, scheduled posts, the use of live video, and more.

Due to demand, Nicole will be holding this session again in the new year for those that were unable to attend this session. If you are interested in finding out more about how thebestof Guernsey can help you Get Connected with Social Media please get in touch.

The "Guernsey Means Business" series of presentations resumes in the new year with a session on Xero cloud accounting software that will be run by Diane de Garis, Xero Gold Partner, from de garis accounting.

You can use the hashtag #gsymeansbusiness on social media to discuss this, or to discuss any of our sessions that you have attended.

"Guernsey Means Business" presentations are aimed at providing advice relevant to local businesses on a variety of topics. If you would like to attend future sessions of "Guernsey Means Business" then please express your interest by emailing Nicole at nicole.guernsey@thebestof.co.uk.
