One of the most reassuring aspects of working with the Amber Group is that, as someone with no building experience myself, I've never felt we've been pushed into a more expensive or unnecessary option. The Amber Group has been looking after this flat so well over the years.
Two weeks ago, when I went to turn on the central heating for the first time since last Spring, it didn't work.
Tom diagnosed the problem within about 10 minutes - the pump had packed up.
Then Kenny came along with two electric heaters (which meant I could take off a couple of layers of clothes!) and next day turned up with Paul with a new pump. The pump is situated in the most inaccessible place in the airing cupboard - but with great skill (and innovation), they removed the ex-pump and installed the new one.
Paul also gave some great tips about how I should use the boiler so that the new pump wouldn't seize up.
